Well are they? Cause I think I might have one today. Got 2 Big exams tomorrow.
Are all-nighters unhealthy?
@Primmaster64: It's really not good, but if you have to stay up all night, you have to.
If you're studying, for tests TOMORROW, I'd recommend trying to get some rest. You'll have better recall tomorrow. Try to get a few hours at the very least.

however one every now and then is not gong to hurt.
this.
DO NOT DO IT BEFORE AN EXAM! I SPEAK FROM EXPERIENCE!
They're going to be the death of me. At least, that's what I'm told.
Plus, be careful with that. I was half-asleep in a class and took some notes, and looked back at them recently. I found out I'd written something completely nonsensical and not to mention illegible, and at the time I was writing it, I thought it was perfect in content and look.
@SkybornLord:
LOL
@PowerHerc:
I see...But I'm the kind of person that needs to sleep to function the next day.

I understand.
Don't sell yourself short, though, my friend. You are at the beginning of your youthful adult prime and therefore can push yourself to perform harder than you might think. Do what you gotta do to study: Hit the books hard, go over your notes, do whatever you need to do to prepare yourself - then hit those exams hard.
Use your will and youthful vigor to focus and overcome lack of sleep. You can do this. I swear it's true. Just make sure to get some rest afterward and not to make doing "all-nighters" a habit.
Good luck on your exams & best wishes in everything.

I woke up at 5 PM this afternoon.
Everything I know is a lie.

You do better if you get a good night's sleep before a test. The only time this is not true is if you are writing a paper - at least in my case. I typically write best at night anyway, so that's probably just me. Even then, that's normally stories, not actual papers. So there's a difference.
I'm doing one right now, and I also did one just before a mock-exam. I fell asleep during the mock-exam, so...yeah, I can't recommend doing an all-nighter for exams. I've got a relatively short day lesson-wise today, it's 3:30am where I am now and Uni finishes at 11am, so I think I'll be fine doing an all nighter now catching up on some revision and then sleep afterwards.
@Primmaster64: Lack of sleep is terribly unhealthy and cramming everything in before a test with no sleep isn't going to help you. You're brain will lack any rest therefore it will not remember anything you tried shoving into your exhausted brain.
It's HIGHLY recommended to get at least 8 and half hours of sleep.
Better to get some sleep; you'll have your wits about you and might be able to B.S. any material you aren't entirely prepared for.
