@JediXMan: I did and I figured that would make you more likely to be interested... but now I understand, does that mean your an old republic player so?

It's because I'm a Star Wars fan. Star Wars and Star Trek typically don't mix.

And the joke is dead...

But yeah, I play SWTOR a bit.

@JediXMan: The joke is very dead, but generally in my part of the world, fans of either are rare enough so that they must mix. What do you think of it? I loved Knights of the old republic, but my comic book addiction has progressed to the point of me not being able to afford an MMO on top of that, hence Star trek Online, it went free to play earlier this year.

Ohhh 600th post

@feargalr:

SWTOR is just okay. Story is nothing to write home about. Gameplay is kinda fun.

is Mr. Spock in the game ?

@JediXMan: Maybe its just the nostalgia factor, but I remember it being awesome, but I haven't played either of them in like.. damn... probably 6 or 7 years now... I'm just a sucker for an RPG I think

Leonard Nimoy does some voice over stuff

No, no. KOTOR 1 and 2 are amazing games. I'm just not the biggest fan of SWTOR (the MMO)

No.

I do. Pretty enjoyable if I must say so myself.

Nimoy narrates (I think) most or all of the story mission cutscenes. He also usually gives a brief dialogue when you enter a prominent system, like Vulcan for example.

I disagree. I'm a fan of both, albeit a bit of a Trek noob.

I don't hate Star Trek. I liked the original series, TNG, and some of the movies (Wrath of Khan and First Contact being my favorite). I don't dislike Star Trek, but I greatly prefer Star Wars.

Fair enough. I'm somewhere in between the two myself.

First contact is freakin awesome...

I used to play it. I got bored with away missions. I think the space missions are absolutely awesome though. Those away missions are just tedious and the combat system is clunky and unbalanced for it.

Though again, I love the space missions and ship customization (thought much more limited than I would like).

The player-created missions, imo, are as good if not better than the story missions. I play them more often than I do the story episodes. And oddly enough, I liked ground combat quite a lot.
