Anticlimatic Final Bosses

Despite the buildup of their threats and dread they can go down with less effort you can imagine to put. When have you played a awesome game that was really hard but had insultingly easy bosses that were so pathetic to defeat?

Archdemon, from Dragon Age: Origins. You can literally sit on the ballista emplacements and chip away at his health until he dies; and use your party/units to eliminate the grunts. I came out of it with very little health lost.

Uncharted series.

Battlefield 3's final boss, in a way. Compared to Bad Company 1 and 2, it was just flat-out disappointing. At least in BC, you got to go through gameplay to get to the "boss", and defeat him. In BF3, you run through a street, have a brief fight with button-press events, then brick him in the head. Just felt like a let-down to me.

Ninja Gaiden 3 The whole game sucks, but by god using a reskin of the first boss in another game with hardly any challenge and making it the final boss of this game......

Ah... yeah, sadly. Though UC2 at least had a real boss battle (though I found Lieutenant Draza to be harder on Crushing)

Wesker in Resident Evil 5. Dark Sector had a better boss and that's just sad.

Cesare Borgia in Brotherhood. I killed him under 2 minutes just kicking his defenses and striking him. Geez, he is just as pussy to defeat like his father on the previous game.

• Cesare at Assasin's Creed: Brotherhood (I know, he's just a Human, but give him some weapons that makes stuff go Boom.)
• Xemnas at Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ (I wiped the floor with him)
• Any boss of any Lego game
• Despair Embodied at Devil May Cry 2

Lavos (Chrono Trigger), Zeromus (FFIV), Cloud of Darkness (FFIII) and Titan Joker (Arkham Asylum).

Killbane and Kia in Saints Row the Third. The first fight with him was a fairly simple. In the Killbane Ending, there is not even a fight, you straight up execute him in a quick time event. At least the final confrontation with Cyrus makes up for that. As for the Save Shaundi ending, Kia is defeated the same way as Veteran Child in Saints Row 2, if you throw smell bombs at her repeatedly, you can just blow her way with a fully-leveled shotgun. You can eventually face Killbane again in that ending too and he is a bit more challenging fight than before, but then again, I consider the Kill Killbane Ending canon anyway...

Sigma from Mega Man X6 was pathetic compared to most of the other bosses in the game.

Lucien, Fable II. That 'fight' made me groan out loud.

The final boss fight in AC II... One of the few bad things about that game in particular.

FFX, Yu yevon.

Alien Queen in Colonial Marines.

It should have being punishable for game developers to make final bosses this insultingly easy.

Atlas from Bioshock was pretty easy to me, dunno why.

Vayne from Final Fantasy 12

Glorious Strategist Sun Li in Jade Empire killed him in exactly 5 blows and he did 0 damage to me. WTF!

The humanoid Reaper from the end of Mass Effect 2. It wasn't exactly "built up" because it was supposed to be this shocking reveal at the end of the game, but it was very easy to defeat in a game that actually had more challenging combat than its predecessor or successor. Also Saddler from Resident Evil 4, I swear the Verdugos and Iron Maidens were harder to beat than that guy. And Maynard John from Hitman: Blood Money. "Ah, 47, let us duel to the death! Only the best assassin will win!". I literally just fired three shots blind into the distance and he died.

Yeah, it should've resembled the battle in ME3 the Reaper on Rannoch was pretty fantastic and it wasn't even the final battle.

But seriously, the fight against Alex Mercer in Prototype 2 was hilarious.

Halo 4. The Didact. Friggin' 343 tried to copy the endings of recent CoD games and made the fight a QTE that was about 7 seconds long.

There was plenty of build up to fighting the Didact from the first time you meet him to the final mission. He is menacing and probably the most superior to the Master Chief in physical strength and technology. I couldn't wait to find out how the Master Chief was going to take him down. Such great potential for a game I wanted to play for such a long time. :(
