As a fellow Scotsman I'm pretty proud of the guy, he totally deserved it and he's still young and he's only been getting better year after year and he just battled his way through the match today outshining the world No. 1 Novac Djokovic in three straight sets.

Andy Murray first Scottish Wimbledon champion.

I wanted Djokovic to win.I like him more and the way he plays more.

I personally attribute Ivan Lendl to this victory, as his mentorship and training has allowed Murray to use his full potential.

That said Murray was a good player before, but Lendl's made him a champion standard player.

Knew you'd be the one to make a thread about this lol. Murray's come a long way in terms of playing style, mentality and training thanks to Ivan Lendi. So glad he won the third set, I don't think he would have won if he'd lost it instead. He was broken physically from the last game and I doubt he could have carried on.

I think they won the World Cup in the 60s.

1966 was the first and only time England won the World Cup. Aside from that, England has never won the Euro cup, or even come close to winning the world cup again.
