Poll American Sniper vs. The Hurt Locker (12 votes)
Inspired by ganon15's thread comparing Saving Private Ryan vs. The Thin Red Line, I wanted to do a poll comparing these acclaimed Iraq War films. Which of these movies is better in your opinion?

Both are insanely overrated. I think American Sniper exaggerated too many events, had poor effects as well as directing, and "Hollywoodized" Kyle's story a bit much. Being a fan of the book I wasn't impressed.
Hurt Locker was forgettable and the only reason people remember is because of that overly long sniper sequence and that totally unjustified Best Picture win.
Gonna give it to American Sniper since there were at least good parts in it. 100 percent of Hurt Locker was dull for me.
I prefered American Sniper TBH. Both are good films though.
The Hurt Locker is completely unrealistic and kinda stupid at times. American Sniper is a true story about the greatest American sniper ever.
