So is anyone else watching American Horror Story? What are your thoughts? Figured I write on this off-topic forum about my latest obsession right now.
American Horror Story
I watched the first season when I was still at home because my sister became captivated by it early on.
I haven't really cared to watch the second season. The four shows I'm currently watching (Dexter, Homeland, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire) are more than enough.
@Illuminatus: The second season start slow at first, but then got better after a few episodes. Right now the episodes they have been making are really good. They got a third season in the works too. Really loving this show and having a new appreciation for supernatural horror lately.
Freaking love this show. The atmosphere, the detail. FX really gave us our money's worth when it came to the show. (money=the amount you pay each month to watch either Cable or DISH.)
My only complaint is that its so heavy in story that it can confuse inexperienced viewers. But the anthology setting of it means you can ignore the first season for the most part and not lose out anything in the story.
Have not watched it, but heard interesting enough things to put it on my list of shows to check out.
Currently watching (waiting on next season for some of these):
- Game of Thrones
- Homeland
- Dexter
- Breaking Bad
- Walking Dead
- Revolution
- Arrow
- Last Resort
- Falling Skies
First season was awesome. Second season's been... ok.
Bottom line, I feel that aliens have no business being in this series.

This exactly.
One of my favorite shows! People always tell me I look like Evan Peters (Tate, Kit, Kyle)
That's strange, my friend just dated this guy not too long ago for sole fact of him looking like Evan Peters, lol.
@doomguy: ...wait Ive dated two chicks (different times of course) just because they thought I looked (and acted I guess) like him
I think Season 3 has the weakest story compare to the other 2 stories from the 2 previous seasons. But it's not any less interesting, many aspects the story never fail to deliver.
It's no doubt the most gruesome one by far, but having nerve-spiking content constantly screams out isn't what I most love about the series.
The coven's dynamic and 'witchness' that runs in the story can be use to explain why the story's progression seems to jump to everywhere, the characters' development is a little fastforwarded at times. The bad blood and the relationships between characters really fail to be realistic but you can explain it in your mind that it's a great depiction of a coven, filled with inhuman creatures with inhuman logics.
The 'Frankenstein' story that happens within the season is my favorite.
And, there's repetitiveness that wasn't so present in the previous two seasons.
I didn't like Season 1 (skimmed through it and probably skipped half the episodes)
I looooved Season 2. The intro was magnificent and the actors/story was great overall. I thought the alien storyline was very weird and the whole polygamy thing was even weirder, but still, very smexy.
Waiting for season 3 to hit netflix! Looks good though.
