Welcome to life.
Am I Crazy If I Think Gravity Is The Worst Film Ever
The only bad thing I heard about Gravity is that an astronaut criticized the movie for being unrealistic.
Probably... I haven't seen it yet and I can tell you there are worse movies out there (excluding your obvious poorly made ones and steven seagal films aside) but the likes of Avatar by James Cameron, Last Airbender by M.Night Shyamalan, just the other day I watched a Nic Cage Film called Stolen (like Taken) and it was utter garbage (unlike Taken)

Really? I heard another astronaut say he enjoyed it a lot, though he did point out that people don't dress in short shorts and tank tops under their space suits while in orbit like Bollock did, lol.
@wolverine08: saw the room, opinion still stands.
@constantine: yeah avatar sucked and all, but i could see why some would like it, but in case of gravity it was so hyped up by the critics in such crazy fashion, i couldnt help but feel terribly dissappointed, i expected a masterpiece not this
I, for one, agree with you. I hated the film. Or at least disliked it very much. I think it's so overrated. I can understand the love of people for it but I absolutely don't agree with them.
But one thing, I don't agree is when you said you're not crazy. You are. Admit it. You're bonkers.

Idk, it was some article where an astronaut was kicked out of a theater for complaining about gravity.
THANK YOU!
I loved the effects but everything else was awful!
Story, acting, dialogue, research, concept of physics. It was awful
@ssejllenrad: lol man , cant disagree there haha
I signed up for an account just to comment on the FACT/OPINION conversation! Funniest shinkt on the internet!! BTW Gravity is overrated trash. Worst waste of 100 million dollars (Bullock's & Clooney's salaries most likey account for half of that and they're laughing all the way to the bank) ever. Like the other guy in this thread stated and I agree; they obviously paid critics to give it good reviews so they could make their money back.
It was ok. But I agree, it wasn't deserving of all the hype it got. And it certainly didn't deserve all the awards it's received.
Viewers has different tastes in the kind of movies they watch. This one, Gravity in particular was an amazing film even if it's slow-paced. The actors, Sandra and George did an amazing job portraying as astronauts. Who says they don't have personalities? You can tell the way how they talk with each other during their space mission. The plot wasn't that terrible since the story was about the mission and survival.
Yes, you are crazy because this is the worst film ever. Good luck!
Watching the MST2K version doesn't count as watching it in its truest form.... long, boring, and insane
OMG! Thank you! You took the words right out of my mouth! That was one of the WORST films I've EVER seen in my life. I've never before wanted a main character to die this much. Darwin would have committed suicide over this movie! There was moments when I was tempted to go to space and kill her off myself just to stop the torture. How anyone can call that a good movie is entirely beyond me.
Necro-thread! Also, if you think Gravity is the worst film ever it probably means you haven't seen enough movies.
I absolutely loved it and its easily in my top 12 all time...But even i know that it wasnt for everybody, the fact that most of the film took place in Zero G should be a dead giveaway why alot people didn't like it...Not to mention the fact there was only really one major character for most of the film...Then the fact that the main setting was in the cold dark isolated vastness of space...Come on give folks the benefit of the doubt if they thought it sucked..lol

Gravity sucked but yeah...this^. what he said.
I thought it was decent, I understand why some people went crazy for it but that fetal scene was a bit much for me lol.
garbage.....and while I may come off harsh, this thing deserves every bit of ridicule anyone can muster.
When I think of films this bad they usually fall between B-rate independent foreign films & porn
How this got the recognition it did is beyond me LOL
talented actors....smart director.....& it just goes to show, you can throw all the talent at a sh*t movie AND it's still gonna be a sh*t movie.
4 years and 5 months too late, but i just saw this film and looked online to find out if anyone else found the film as abysmal as I did... Sandra B's character is flat, irritating, and a really rubbish panicky astronaught.. G.C's character is a ghost at best. Maybe a better reading of the film. Woman invents unbelievable future for herself after detaching from reality a la Rosanne last episode.
God but this was really terrible.
Gravity was a good movie to see in 3D just because of how great the effects were; that's it. It really doesn't have any plot or substance, just good visuals.
People love to criticize Avatar for this same reason, which I've always thought was unfair. At least Avatar had an interesting, creative setting, and good characters. Gravity had none of that.

The movie's only redeeming quality was how great the visual effects looked in 3D and in Imax. That's it. If more people saw it in standard, or just waited and saw it at home, I believe that the reviews would be a lot less positive.
