I can't believe some people actually think they have a remote chance. One swipe of it's claws would rip several 3 inch deep gashes across you, not only would you be screaming and crying on the ground but you would bleed to death in seconds, that's ONE swipe, there would be several within in the first few seconds until it gets a proper hold on you, when it does it's going to bite you, this is one of the strongest bites in the animal kingdom and is well known for crushing turtle shells and biting heads of prey, no matter what body part it bites on a human is going to be crushed and ripped off. Not to mention ALL of this would happen faster then most humans could even react.

You can't choke a Jaguar to death either, for the reasons stated above you would die in two seconds, and even assuming you did somehow have time to get a good choke hold - do you know how freaking muscular those necks are? Even pushing your hardest unless you are a powerlifter and get a near perfect hold from the back with both arms you are not even going to tighten it's windpipe. It's just not going to happen, and it would be agile enough to rip you off it's back anyhow. EDIT: Oh and they most definetely know choking is the reason for lack of oxygen, every animal does - this is called instinct and it will fight for it's life to get you off it's neck, most even specifically go for the necks of other animals when hunting knowing that it will choke them.

In the end, I know every guy, girl and their mother likes to imply they are Rambo on this site, but the fact are not even Rambo would stand a chance, and most of you here are greasy teenagers with superhero fantasies.

The reason humans are good predators is because we use our higher intelligence to our advantage. Fighting a jaguar barehanded would not be using our intelligence to our advantage.

IIRC a 70 year old man was able to kill a Jaguar barehanded.....I should be safe. These animals aren't going to one-shot me, and they arent as big and powerful as Lions or Tigers. I'd hit it with a rock bottom so fast....

@buttersdaman000: Nope. That report was on a Leopard and the man supposedly pulled the Leopard tongue out. Leopards are smaller and much weaker than Jaguar's. Also, we don't really know the conditions of that Leopard and whether it was healthy or not. A healthy Leopard would destroy any human.

No human being is capable of standing a chance with a Jaguar bare-fist. Their jaw-bite is among one of the strongest of the big-cats and they have claws which can tear into humans; this is in addition to paw-swipes which could easily crush your skull.

You're right, it was a leopard. But the dude was 70+. I can easily find more examples of humans killing bigger animals as well. It's not impossible.

@buttersdaman000: Like I said, in most of these situations, the Leopard (or most large Cat's) are either very young/old or injured. It's rarely if ever a healthy adult Leopard. At best, it could be a small Leopard.

• Animal is either very young/old
• Animal is injured

Humans can't kill Bears, Lions or Jaguars with their bare hands. They'd get annihilated and struggle more with Dogs.
