Advice me some video games, please!

Hey there. We have Christmas now and I have rich grandparents. You all know what that means. 
I have a X-Box 360 and was thinking about getting some new games, maybe you can advice me some good ones. Let me tell you which games I have, so you will know what kind of games I'm into! Thanks in advance!

I'm probably going to skip Skyrim. I used to play World Of Warcraft years ago and every time I started a new character, I tried to hit the max level as fast as possible to be able to do PvP and only PvP. I'm not that much into usual RPG's with all the questing. Don't know about Saints Row: The Third. Going to check up the review on Gametrailers! Thanks for that one. Going to skip Ninja Gaiden 2. Checked out the review and it sounded good, but not that good. It looks like the game has some flaws and so on, so I'm going to start with the third part of the series. Thanks for the advice though! Is Mortal Kombat any good? Judging by the overall gameplay I wasn't that excited about it, but it didn't look bad either. Too bad it's indicated here, so I would have to order it.

Skyrim is much better than WOW..Skyrim's gameplay>>>>WOW

Saints Row is like GTA with fancy weapons and cars.. You can make your own character(Asian, Black , White) male or female...

it would be better if you skip ninja gaiden 2.. Ninja gaiden 3 is coming out in march 2012

That was a terrible, terrible game. Granted my disappointment stems from people hyping the game up.

I'd say go with:

- Mortal Kombat (2011)

- Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi

- RAGE

- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines

- Fear 3

- Bulletstorm

Well since I'm posting from a different timeline, you might have to wait another year for this. 
 

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: Championship Edition plus Turbo

@Chibio: It's one of the best iterations in the series. It has the best graphics, tight controls, a huge roster, etc. Need we say more?

I would say to ask Giant Bomb.

I personally recommend LOTR War in the North, Dead Island isn't too bad, and Deus Ex.

@Chibio: I guess I would also recommend Halo Anniversary to you and either BF3/MW3. Both are excellent games, it just comes down to personal preference.

I was just naming off games he might like based on the criteria he gave. Out of those games, I'm only a real fan of MK and FE3R. Much more of an RPG/Adventure type of guy on a whole though.

I forgot about Dead Island.

I would definitely recommend Dead Space 2, they did a hell of a job with that game, I own it and I still have yet to beat it, mostly due to all the jumpy parts. I'm working on Arkham City now, so far so good.

Agreed. Owner of both. RDR might be one of the best games i've ever played. MW3 isn't too shabby either.

@Chibio: Trust me if you like virtually anything Rockstar then you'll love it.

• Arkham Asylum if you haven't already played it.
• Skyrim, maybe even Oblivion GOTY edition(or whatever the edition including the DLC is called). Both are RPG's, but are fun.
• Fallout 3 GOTY edition, and keep an eye out for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition. Both editions include all of the DLC for both games. Again, both RPG's, but if you like shooters and don't mind playing an RPG.. they're some of the best ones you can get.
• Mortal Kombat. Arguably the best iteration in the entire series.
• The Darkness, and check out The Darkness 2.
• You said Darksiders, so it's a given to keep an eye on Darksiders 2.
• Mercenaries 2 is fun for an open-world game.
• Some of the earlier Devil May Cry games were good. Can't recommend DMC 4, though. It was meh at best and not really that enjoyable.
• MW3 if you don't mind it virtually being MW2 with a shiny new coat of paint on it, and want a game where you can run around shooting people.
• Ultimate Alliance 1 was fun, can't speak on 2, haven't played it.

Edit:

• Borderlands is fun the first playthrough or two as well. The DLC is pretty entertaining too.
• Bully was a neat game by Rockstar. You don't go around killing people and stuff, but the gameplay and storyline was well-done.
• F.E.A.R. Files was a good time-waster for me. Pretty scary at parts too.
• I second the RDR recommendations.

Battlefield 2142 has to be one of the best FPS ever created

@Chibio: I would also recommend Resident Evil 5 and as many other people mentioned, Red Dead Redemption.

I only have an Xbox 360 and I have a few games on it. I really like the Gears of War series but you already have the third. Here is a list of the games I think that you would enjoy on your Xbox360.

These are all fun games. Some of them are hard. Other are open world. I don't really know what you like but they are all pretty fun.

Out of this list get

Dead Space 2, Gears 3, Arkham City, Halo Reach, Darksiders.

In general though, Arkham City and Skyrim are the 2 best games this year, get them.
