Adventure Time vs 90's shows

Adventure Time is nothing to sneeze at.. it's quite charming. But saying "90s cartoons" is vague. I certainly don't hail it as the best cartoon ever.

I'll pick Dexter's lab, Simpsons, 90s marvel toons, 90s batman toon or Doug everytime over that.

Even Recess, or Animaniacs..

Also - Regular Show>Adventure Time imo.

I love Regular Show. I wanted to like Adventure Time, but it didn't connect with me.

The Steven Spielberg Cartoons solo.

Add to that every other cartoon at the time and the 90's cartoons stomp.

So many of the older shows I like better, like Angry Beavers :D

By "90s cartoons" I'm assuming you mean cartoons that may have debuted in the 90s but made their mark in the 2000s.

I really don't like Adventure Time so easy decisions for me.

An entire decade of animation vs. 1 show; that's kinda unfair.

People are Nostalgia blind half the time, which isn't a surprise. The 90's had a handful of good (Freakazoid) and a lot of junk that is protected under nostalgic vale.

I just goggled 90's cartoons. I didn't comb through it. But it was only one year off from being a 90s cartoon.

I'll be the second. Especially after the new season premiere.

While I love me some adventure time, the creme of the crop from the 90's takes this. Animaniacs was genius imo. It has adventure time beat handily. Far more clever, the jokes are funnier, and it has more charm.

Of course, this is all a matter of opinion :)

I like adventure time but the 90's cartoons takes it for me due to nostalgia. Also I love Regular Show, IMO its one of the best cartoons to come out in a while.

90's cartoons were the best.. majority of cartoons airing today on cartoon network were pieces of crap. except adventure time.

I'm not a fan of Adventure time - but I do enjoy Regular Show.

I like Adventure Time, but there's few kids shows that top the Adventures of Pete & Pete.

I am a firm believer that in entertainment as in real life we as a species only get better thanks to past(or current) influences.So yes i do agree that Adventure Time is much better than most 90`s shows of that type.Also Adventure Time has probably my favorite single episode in any cartoon ever in:I remember you(not an avid watcher of the show but caught this while babysitting and i was just in awe over what i had just watched)but it is also a season 4 episode with 3 full seasons of getting to know these characters preceding it.

Now cut to my Actual favorite cartoon show right now which is Rick And Morty.Which also has a game-changing episode in it's first 11 episode season which is episode 6:Rick Potion #9.Point is there will always be something new that is better in most every way with time.The people that love adventure time today that decide to do animation for a living will no doubt take those influences and push themselves to do better than their favorite show(now most won't succeed but those that do will probably have a better product than what came before)

My personal itch is that it always takes a while before the masses jump onto the next great thing(usually at around 3 seasons).Which in the short term just helps to kill the amazing 1st seasons or keep them hidden until it's too late(most of the great superhero shows in the last 5-6 years).

Have you ever heard of differing opinions? It's your opinion Regular Show sucks, just like it's my opinion Regular Show is better then Adventure Time. There is no objective facts dealing with things like this, only subjectiveopinions.

Adventure time is a lot better than what some of these snobs are gonna say but thus does not mean that fin and jake can stand up against the greatest decade of cartoons the universe will ever have see

Im a little fuzzy on "90's" cartoons. Some of the very early ones were amazing, but they might have been late 80's.. I really don't know. Things like Swamp Thing, Transformers, TMNT, Dino Riders, Jem, Link.. I could go on and on, that truly was the golden age for me. Don't care about the popular stuff that came later really, sponge bob and pokemon and all that meh.

These days though nothing tops Adventure Time. I generally hate cartoons but I have watched every episode. It's 50% adult cartoon I would say, similar to something like the Simpsons.

Ed, Edd n Eddy alone makes me choose the 90s cartoons.

Classic Looney Tunes shorts and Tom and Jerry shorts are leagues better than Adventure Time. Apart from that, there are way too many phenomenal cartoon shows in the 90's for me to even compare Adventure Time to. I don't even think Adventure Time is worth mentioning, if we're talking animation here.

I love Adventure Time but I love Daria a bit more so I guess that means 90's (even the shows I hated) take it?

90s shows as a whole are too broad.

I guess they're a lot of shows from then that I like more than Adventure Time, but not every show is perfect from any era.

Adventure Time's pretty good from what I've seen though.

Animation quality, most of all. That's a fact.

Also, Adventure Time doesn't amuse me, while Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry does. That's just my personal preference.

Looney Tunes andTom and Jerry has better animation than Adventure Time? Not trying to debate you on that front since you know your shit in the category, but I'm a little shocked 60's cartoons supersede cartoons from this day and age in animation.
