A Song of Ice and Fire
I do! I love how it is gaining some popularity nowadays due to the Game of Thrones mini. Have you got Dance of Dragons yet? I'll be waiting for the paperback release of that before I read it. Or maybe in kindle or nook.
It's definitely the best fantasy series out there right now. I'm finishing the 3rd book just about to start on the 4th, I pre-ordered the 5th book that came yesterday. My favorite character is still Jaime Lannister.
Read? Does it have pictures?
Lol, the covers have pictures, and they show pictures of the House Sigils. They actually have an artbook collection out of the series, some of the art is brilliant.
I'm going through A Game of Thrones withdrawal. =/ It would be neat if they made it into a graphic novel like they've done with some of GRRM's other stories, but I wonder how he's going to finish this series off, especially considering how popular it's become on television.
@darkgambit8: book wise or television wise?
It took me a year to finish book one; some characters grabbed me right away but others at the time just didn't and I had to put the book down and subsequently reread the same chapters as I kept getting lost in all the complicated narrative threads and motivations, but once I finally reached the last portions I was hooked and absolutely devoured the rest of the series; I've now read it through at least 3 times; could be 4 I lost count, and I'm probably going to do another reread as soon Winds of Winter gets a release date. Dunk&Egg are great too as well as the "fake history" side projects in The World of Ice and Fire and Fire&Blood.
The Game of Thrones TV series never really interested me, even when I was still struggling with book one. Still don't really have much incentive to revisit it.
@darkgambit8: haven't read the book for lotr but 100% with movie being better then tv show.
