A bet on december 21st

Peoples of the off topic forum, I come to deliver you another one of my senisible messages. So here's my bet: If the world does not end tonight I will do an Obama respect thread. That's right an OBAMA respect thread. But, if the world does end, I will have been spared of the misery of having o do the respect thread.

So who accepts the bet?

Given that the best I can really say about Obama is that he was the best option between him and Romney, I don't know how much a respect I can really give him, Its cool we can have a black president tho

I will follow what the member of the staff said, if the world did not end today (which it has not, it past 6:12, the deadline) then I wouldn't make political threads for ONE month. And until the end of january, you will not see a political thread from me.

I do not know why people on comicvine hate political threads, is it because I have a higher hand in politics then in comic book battles(Which I fare well in unless someone is unreasonable) ?

Not just people don't show evidence. I don't like em cuz it is either a Star Wars battle or you making a team of ridiculous toon force and whenever someone tries to name characters it's always the same with some giant feat with the toon force that can't be beat.

I see nothing wrong with posting political threads -- including those created by a poster with vastly opposing views from the majority. I've seen worse out there and frankly, if threads posted were only ones in which most of the respondents were of the same mind as the OP then where's the opportunity to learning anything? Even if they start out as biased diatribes, it's really no different than what I find in the battle forum with fans of both characters coming out of the woodwork to present their cases.

Anyway -- an Obama Respect thread sounds nice. He's done a few things recently I would like to commend him for.
