$500 million, would you agree to die on your 50th birthday?

Back again with another thought provoking question. Might seem easy at first. But Ive heard many answers, some say quality of life over quantity. Some say science is going good and people are living longer than ever now a days. So you could say you might give up 30 years + of life. You guys tell me...

Yup. But as long as the money is given to me before my 25th birthday.

Nope. I'm honestly trying to live as long as possible, and would honestly rather live to 100 making an honest living than living to 50 while being a multimillionaire. Value my own life too much.

I'll take the money. I honestly don't care for living a long life. At least, not right now, anyway.

My one goal in life is to make a difference and to improve the world dramatically. I can't do that with two dollars...so if it costs me to live until 50 so be it. As long as I know I've improved the planet dramatically and it wont subside much when I die, I'm fine

Yes easily. I'd rather be able to do anything I want now in my 20s and 30s, than slave away for 45 more years so I could retire. Plus, I don't want to get old either.

Well I'm 20 now, so that means I would have like, 25 years to party with that type of dough?

I agree with taking the deal whats the point of living to be really old when your quality of life would be awful. Not saying 50 is old but late 70s etc

Nope I have a relative that died at 50 and messed everyone up when he died. Also there is so much more he or anyone at 50 could accomplish especially since humans usually spend lots of time in school until they can actually enjoy life outside of there parents control. Lastly knowing you'll only a few decades coming out of college before you die would be really depressing and probably give someone a negative outlook in life.

Why not. I can use that money to research how to be immortal.

@rd189 Yes. You have a choice a real simple one take 500 Million dollars right now and die at 50 or dont take the money and live how you are and die whenever you die.

You don't get 500 million hypothetical dollars for free... well that just doesn't make sense does it? You get the money because you agree to die at 50. Thats it! No more too it. You can blow your money on doctors or whatever to discover how to make people live past 100, and pass that on. But you? You could discover the fountain of youth and you would still die in this hypothetical question.(At 50 of course) Haha

Ask yourself that again when you're closer to that age. Good chance you'll have a different opinion.

I want to see my children grow up and my grandchildren grow up and time is the most important thing in life. Once you lose time you can never get it back but money you can always make more. Even though that is a lot of money, what is the say you won't make all that money in your lifetime. Most dreams take a lot of hard work in a long time to accomplish even with money so I prefer to live a long life

What if you get sued and someone takes your money?
