I haven't been in school since 2002 but I went to college for chemistry and for architecture. Both are ones where they drill the order of operations into your head. If I had been an architect and saw that equation and got 1 my building would have fallen down.

The answer is the square of 6.324555320 added to t multiplied by the derivative with respect to t of log t base euler's constant that is the sum of hyperbolic functions sinh(1) + cosh(1)! Where is it in the choices?!?!?

I dislike math.

I never thought of that... But it makes perfect sense. It's indeterminate for now but I'm willing to accept that the limit of the equation as the variables approach infinity is in fact fish.

I made the 40 to the 89th power and then quadroople it by infinity and beyond then minus the y axis and plus the x variable! It just cancelled out with purple tentacles. But you are correct with your answer. What I did forget is the imaginary number i that should have represented the infinite root of the arbitrary z. Either ways it would have gotten to that answer.

I think that some people are having a hard time believing it's 41 because they think of math equations like sentences, you go from left to right as you read it. Those that remember the order of operations get the correct 41.

if /I/ ruled the world..which i am currently working on, math equations WOULD be read like sentences and solved from left to right f**k order of operations!!

Order of Operations is like order in the world. Without it, is like there isnt any in the world

@goldenshot80: Order of operations is only useful for "lazy" equations. There are parenthesis, brackets and braces for a reason. I mean does it really need some effort to add them to the equations?
