Is there any 2013 movie that you thought was bad but turned out to be a good movie?

To be honest, I had no expectations for The Wolverine so I was genuinely surprised that I enjoyed it so much! Pain and Gain also came out of no where. But, the movie that truly caught me off guard was Warm Bodies.

Man Of Steel. I really didn't expect much from it, but it was very good, you know except for a few cringe worthy moments here and there.

I'd say Warm Bodies and World War Z. I expected both to be pretty "meh" but ended up enjoying them a good deal.

The Worlds End.

Mostly because I mistook it for the other apocalypse film This is the End.

I spent the first ten minutes watching these British guys getting hammered, thinking to myself, where the hell is James Franco?

Still, it turned out to be a pretty great movie.

World War Z, wasn't too fond of the book so I thought it would be rather dull.

Star Trek: Into Darkness. I wasn't a huge fan of the first, but I really liked the sequel.

Also, Gangster Squad. That movie was a great homage to corny 80's cop vs robber shoot em ups.

Oh man, I can't wait to see that. I adore Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

The Worlds End.

I envy you sir! I cannot wait for that to come out. Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg are my favourite duo in film-making!

It's probably bad that I've never seen either of those movies. Still, it's a great time. It's almost like watching the Hangover, except watching them get drunk instead of retracing their steps, with, supernatural elements thrown in.

Simon Pegg is unbelievable in this film, throughout. I'm tempted to go a second time.

Can't say I've been surprised by any movie this year yet. I usually have pretty good expectations going into movies and I'm rarely surprised.

Pacific Rim for example. Was expecting a horrible script, a mediocre cast and awesome robot and monster fights...and that's exactly what I got lol.

I expected Identity Thief and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone to be absolute garbage, but they turned out alright.

I'm surprised by how much I ended up enjoying Evil Dead, since I'm not really into horror movies.

World War Z, Man of Steel, The Worlds End, Despicable Me 2 top my lists.

Disappointed in Iron Man 3 coz of the Mandarin, not impress with the Pacific Rim. Not going to watch Wolverine and Thor.

I had little interest in "This is the End" but then I went to see it...easily my favorite comedy of the year, and second favorite film besides MOS.

I should really watch more horror movies.

The Wolverine. - Good way.

Man of Steel. - Meh, expected more, but it was really good.

Star Trek: Into Darkness. - Good way.

Iron Man 3. - Never gave a crap.
