The human body contains from 55% to 78% water, depending on body size. To function properly, the body requires between one and seven liters of water per day to avoid dehydration. Clearly, water is an essential part of human life. But under the right circumstances, as if you were a dwindling camp fire, water can extinguish you in in a variety of interesting ways.

I had high hopes for this thread. Really, I thought to myself, "well this is cool and exciting." I'd already planned on commenting how much I liked this thread idea and info.

Then, I actually went to your trash link.... I was expecting interesting things more around the line of how drinking too much water too quickly will kill you. Instead I got obvious, uninteresting things along the line of how Avalanches and Contaminated Water and Electrocution and Slippery road, can kill you. And somehow those things, which involve something more than water, justify a list focused on water.

That's like having a list of how "fingers" can kill you and then pointing out that fingers can be used to pull the trigger of a gun that shoots you in the head--disappointed in the list and this thread.

Does that include the water in your body? It would be interesting to see how far you get when you boycott that :) Or even how you would 0_o

This is kinda what I was expecting.

I wonder how many ways fire can kill you?

1. Drownage

2. Freezage

3. Fatigueage when swimming and then drownage

4. Dehydrationage

5. Too much hydrationage

6. Slipage

7. Electrocutionage because water is a good conductorage

8. Fallage when you drop from 30,000 feet into the ocean without a parachute, you're deadage.

9. Far out what's with SVU? It's cliché now!

1) Pull you in by the neck and crush your body with a hundred arms.

2) When you drink a glass of water, it activates its molecular-level regeneration and rapidly grows until you can longer contain it and explode. FATALITY.

3) Politely give you an electrical device as a gift and then give you a giant hug electrocuting you :)

4) Brings forth a beautiful water spirit who is so attractive you don't even see her kill you.

5) You're having a bath and the water instantly freezes, hehehe.

6) Transform into a giant ocean-god king godzilla monster and destroys you along with your town.

7) Throws Atlantis at you.

8) Gets p!ssed and decides to flood everything in its drunken rage.

9) Opens an underwater portal releasing creatures only found in nightmares.

10) You're in a desert thirsty as hell when you see a puddle of water. You rush to it but as your hand reaches into it, a skeletal black hand reaches out and grabs you by the face, pulling you into its dimension, all that is left is the echo of its deathly laugh.
