I like Moon Knight, but he will always remain in the shadow of the comic book character that he pays homage to. He will never be cooler than Batman, IMO.

Well, too bad Moon Knight never had his own video games, his own movies, or his own cartoon shows (and hasn't had the opportunity to be a cameo in a cartoon show). All in all, he never had the charisma to bring his company a lot of money like Batman has brought to both DC and Warner Bros. I guess lacking all that makes you better than someone who has all that, even if the person who has all that has a better selling comic book, by far...

Maybe he was stating that as his opinion rather than fact.Anyone who reads comics even if they don't read Batman, can agree Batman has way more success as a character than Moon Knight.Bstman is one of DC's most popular guys and Moon Knight isn't even close to being one of Marvel's most popular characters.

Nah. Moon Knight isnt cooler than Batman. Batman is one of the most Badazz Superheroes ever. You give him some prep time against nearly anyone and he will find a way to defeat his opponent
@jonny_anonymous: That's true but I don't feel Moon Knight is as iconic. Believe me, I don't think he's just some Batman rip-off and that would be an insult to a great character but I do think that he has to become a little more emblematic before he becomes cooler than Bruce which could take time but is possible if his current series is copied in terms of quality.
He's cooler (current Marvel Now MK), but I don't necessarily think he's as rich of a character. There's a reason there's like thousands of Batman trades out there.
@ironknight1: In my opinion it's a dead tie since Batman has cooler villains and better gadgets, but Moon Knight has a more original personality, a less cliche' origin, a more impressive looking theme vehicle, and a better looking costume.
Here's a list of a few epic things Moon Knight has done in the past:
He had two broken legs from a previous encounter with Bushman and Moon Knight still manages to beat Task Master. He sustained several arrows through the body from the fight.
He used to fight werewolves.
He fought the Avengers, The X Men, and The Fantastic Four all at the same time alone and won. Few things I need to point out though. Those heroes were hypnotizes to kill all superheros on the planet. Moon Knight wasn't affected since his multi personality disorder protects him. The an individual team works together, but the teams do not work together. If you read the comic you will see The X-men fighting The Avengers and vice versa with the Fantastic Four and there's Moon Knight in the middle. The hypnotize heroes don't act like zombies and they do notice Moon Knight's presence and immediately stop fighting each other to fight him.
He stop Rouge using his multi personality disorder.

Jean Grey once looked inside Moon Knight's head and saw an apocalypse of some sort occurring in New York city. Everything is on fire. People that are on fire are running around screaming with their skin blister peeling off and some in the background have turned to puddles. Most of the Buildings in the city have fallen or are falling in the panel. Next panel you see a close up shot of Moon Knight's rotting corpse laying there laughing (He's not on fire). Next Panel Maggots begin crawling out of the corneas of Moon Knight's eye balls (Moon Knight is still laughing). Next Panel the Maggots crawl into Moon Knight's mouth as he continues to laugh while munching on them. This loops a couple times with the maggots crawling out of Moon Knight's eyes into his mouth while laughing. Jean Grey snaps back from this and seeks shelter from Cyclopes. Moon Knight see's Jean crying and says, "Like what you saw?" (This happened in the same issue he fought the Avengers, X Men, and Fantastic Four so Jean Grey was evil).
Why compare the two? Bats is undeniably iconic, but personally I find that he is also abit overexposed and harder to relate to because of that. I just find Moon Knight to be more visceral.
Always have and always will prefer MK. There are many reasons why MK isn't as "iconic" as Batman, but let's just leave it as Batman came to be first and so many fans of his will always see MK as a copy/ripoff (a very biased opinion, and far from accurate). Personally I never liked Batman because the dark persona doesn't really gel with his morals. At least Moon Knight's morals are questionable and mesh better with his dark persona.
