Okay Marvel has Reed Richards, Iron Man, Black Panther, Dr. Doom, Hank Pym, Hank Mccoy, Hulk, Spider-Man as some of the most intelligent characters. What about intelligent women? The only one I can think of with a genius level i.q. is Kitty Pryde. Any others?
Most Intelligent Marvel Women?
I can think of plenty of smart Marvel Woman but not really any known specifically for being smart.
Weird.
@Decoy Elite: There is a topic in the battle forum about second tier intelligent characters. I noticed that neither in the top tier or the second tier was there a woman mentioned. So I was just wondering. Alyssa Moy that is friends with Reed Richards is a genius. But she isn't really a hero or anything.
@charlieboy: I think that Marla Jameson designed the Spider-Slayers.

I'd take SS over MJ.
@Yung ANcient One: Kitty has always had a genius level i.q. since she was created. 616 Sue has never been a scientist.
Regular Sue Storm is supposed to be incredibly intelligent and is written as such in many stories, then you have Alyssa Moy, Athena, Val Richards, Kavita Rao, Suzi Endo, Monica Rappicini, Kitty, Moira McTaggart, Monet, Sage, Maya Hansen, and Nightshade and i could go on AND well the biggest problem here is certain writers who want to ironically dumb down intelligence as a trait and pander to comic fans love of lists and ranking characters against each other you get stories with supposedly the 8 smartest people on the Earth who are conveniently really popular characters who are noted for being smart, when yeah, not how intelligence really works as far as comparisons and listings and you end up with stories that perpetuate such - I'll save my rant. lol
@SC: Thank you. I forgot about a lot of these characters. Suzi Endo is Cybermancer right? Totally forgot about Moira too.
@charlieboy: If Sue isn't a scientist why did she go on the space trip with Reed? I know Ben was the Pilot, and thought Reed plus Sue were the Scientist. Johnny was the only useless one, or so I thought. (+)
Ah, that explains a lot, freakin' X-characters. Love 'em but there's waaaaaaaay too many to keep track of.
At least there are some really smart girls in the MU.
@Yung ANcient One: Because Sue was his girlfriend. She has never been a scientist except in the Ultimate universe.

Emma Frost.
Oh really?

@Decoy Elite: I agree. I just thought it was weird I could not think of them.
Doesn't help that Marvel's probably killed plenty of them for drama.
My world has just turned upside down. Kitty's a genius, and Sue is... wait... so what did Sue do for income? (+)

Yes very good, also The Seeker recently.

In a few Fantastic Four stories some writers have tried to insert the idea that is incredibly intelligent, and if she prioritized her goals as such she would have been one of the greatest scientists/minds of her generation. It also meant that Reed actually had someone intelligent enough in a partner to bounce complex and difficult ideas off of which sort of sounds healthier than Reed and Sue being intellectually incompatible with each other, but above plot character aspects can tend to be forgotten or ignored by some writers.
@SC: I am not saying Sue isn't smart. She just has never been a scientist in the 616 universe. She is a smart and very capable heroine.

Oh my apologies, I wasn't trying to imply either all, just throw in generally why some might feel Sue is underestimated intelligence wise against the backdrop of her fluctuating writer perception. ^_^

@SC: Hey do you know what comic Suzi becomes the Seeker in? I did not know about that.
Sure!! The last Silver Surfer mini series written by Greg Pak.
Let me see if I can find it on CV...
Silver Surfer. I think thats it - was released 2011 I believe.
@Yung ANcient One: I believe Sue was trying to become and actress or model or something to that effect. I am surprised you didn't know about Kitty. She has always been portrayed that way. Not in some of the cartoons and such. But always in X-Men and Excalibur.

^Thats^ exactly what I always thought. Reed, plus Sue were scientist that bounced complex ideas with each other, and they fell in love. I know she's not a scientist, but that's what I always thought. (+)
hope summers---she made a device that made cerebro think she was in five different directions in avx!!!!!!

Thats a stupid reason for why she is the smartest women in the Marvel universe.
(1) Valeria Richards
(2) Alyssa Moy
After these two, the rest are probably a step below. Still, I will vote for Medusa as #3.
@catfightfan: lady death exists outside of time shes gotta be as smart as some of the high tire cosmic entities
I think if she wasn't paired with Reed Richards, Sue Storm would be considered highly intelligent in her own right. It takes a pretty polished intellect to live with Mr. Fantastic I think.
Emma Frost and Moira MacTaggart are definitely overlooked in terms of intelligence.
Apex from Squadron Supreme is the only female character I can think of whose major characteristic is super smarts, which is definitely weird.
It seems intelligent female characters are more likely to be life/strategy smart (ex. Natasha Romanov) than to exhibit a cold intellect.
