Marvel Announces AGE OF ULTRON vs. MARVEL ZOMBIES

Marvel, we officially have no idea what you're doing. First, the publisher announced a new SECRET WARS at NYCC. Yesterday, Marvel teased a new CIVIL WAR. And today, the House of Ideas claims it's merging two of its previous stories: AGE OF ULTRON and MARVEL ZOMBIES. How? We have no idea. Why? Well, that's a good question, isn't it?

This one's also scheduled to go on sale Summer 2015. What will they announce next? A new THE INFINITY GAUNTLET? WORLD WAR HULK vs. AGE OF APOCALYPSE? Is this all stemming from Jonathan Hickman'sTime Runs Out storyline? We'll keep an eye on Marvel's pages to see if anything else is released, but in the meantime, take to the comments section and begin speculating!

Being that the original bit of multiversal time-breaking came from Wolverine in AoU, you have to applaud Logan's ability to screw over the Marvel Universe from beyond the grave.

Secret Wars still sounds interesting, this looks like an idea someone had to raise enough quick cash for hookers and blow at the next Marvel planning session.

Oh man, now I'm wondering if a Wolverine from another timeline will become the "regular" Wolverine.

Just you wait, it'll happen! Okay, it probably won't, but I wouldn't be surprised at this point if a WWH or IG teaser pops up.

I have no words for this.

This seems to be more like a "what if" story than anything. Don't think it'll be an event in mainstream 616. Ultron is probably going to different possible futures and ends up in the Marvel Zombies universe, and wackiness ensues.

I'll see what else comes out that week. A definite maybe.

I just feel we kind of already got that same scene with Machine Man (I mean Aaron Stack lol) when he crossed over with the Marvel Zombies. A very awesome scene, might I add.

Not a clue what this is gonna be or how and if it connects to recently announced Secret Wars and Civil War but I will wait and see or could moan and twist about how stupid it is and that Marvels out of ideas as I've just got back from the future and know exactly what its about.

At this point I think they just have a roulette with past events listed, and they're spinning it, then just doing that one over again. I never cared for Marvel Zombies and AoU was really lackluster (the only thing I liked out of it was Cataclysm happening). I've been passing on Marvel events the past few years, and think I'll do so with this as well. Most likely it'll sell as usual. I'm guessing this has to do with alternate realities.

Sigh, poor DC Comics; their not going to have a clue what to do with all the extra money i'll be giving them to spite Marvel next year.

I'm feeling fatigued and overwhelmed by all these events now. I was hoping for more character development for the current Marvel NOW! runs.

I wonder how comic stores feel about all these events happening in terms of whether their customer base will pull all of these stories or if it's going to make excess inventory.
