I know you're a big MMH fan, but this looks pretty bad to me.

I don't know which is worse. Superman in the 52 or Martian Manhunter in recently. Did you see him attack Superboy despite the Durlan trying to reason with him?

I'm just happy J'on is getting his own series. I can't wait. The art is very promising.

I'm just pissed that superman is obviously gonna win then every superman fan will just say superman would obviously beat mmh in the battle forums

Bit early on to have a hero vs hero fight? Also would damage MMH credibility if he loses in #2 even if it is against Superman.

Since Superman is depowered post Convergence I doubt they'd have a serious fight.

Shouldn't a solo title be a solo title? Why rely on using characters like Superman instead of letting J'onn do his own thing?

I really wanted this to be a book all about J'onn and how he would work as a solo hero, exploring him, his choices him as a character while building connections. Really bummed out that in Issue 2 its probably gonna be almost entirely a vs. fight with either J'onn or Superman coming across as "wrong"

CRAZY THOUGHT, why not have them work together on the other martian invasion problem?

While I can guess that Superman is the aggressor in this conflict, I have a feeling I'm not going to get the J'onn I wanted in this book and that is disheartening. I am glad however DC is giving away free digital previews for new books so I can check it out without spending money and make a choice.

The MM in the New 52 has got increasingly aggressive, the pre New 52 was always the wise calm member of the team. Its a pity. I really want this book to be good. I've been waiting for a MM comic for ages.

Same, I miss the JLU/Pre 52 wise sage like character. A free 8 page preview is coming out soon so hopefully that will change my view on the book, I thought Starfire's solo would be eh at best but that preview made the book a must have. Hopefully this is just a case of covers lie trying to make it seem action packed.
