Lex Luthor will inevitably make an appearance in the DCverse, the question is, who should play him?
Anyone but Rosenbaum. I hate it when people say Rosenbaum. Seriously, he's being too goddamn greedy by wanting to play Luthor in the MOS series. He was good, yes. But let others play the damn character.
....Really? You know that acting is his job, right? You aren't "greedy" when you're looking for lucrative work.
@fadetoblackbolt: You are when you're shooting for the same role you already did but in a whole new franchise. That's just hogging. Seriously, he's done the job. Move along. Give chance to others. Bale has done so with his Bats. Rosenbaum should do the same with his Luthor.
Obviously, I mean, the guy's got all the assets:
- He's awesome
- He's bald
- He's awesome and bald
What else could you possibly want
He was already Sinestro, re-casts are a bit of a pet peeve of mine. I'd go with either John Hamm or Vin Diesel. My reasons for wanting Vin Diesel in this is because he looks like STAS Luthor and I'd like to see him in something recent that isn't Fast & Furious. John Hamm's just an amazing actor period.
Idris Elba? sigh... yes he's a good actor, but from the movies I've seen him in I don't think he would make a good Luthor.
Rosenbaum, hell no. Idk if it's just me but Smallville was horrible, so was his Lex Luthor.
Vin Diesel? I don't know if he'd be able to get it right, maybe he could but I'd hate hearing the back lash from CV. It would be cool to the scene in All Star Superman were Diesel, Lex, working out and Clark interviewing him (right before the Parasite attacked them).
Kevin Spacy, no.
Mark Strong, Sinestro guys!? Come on!
John Hamm, why do so many people have a boner for this guy? I'm kidding, I think he should just stay out for any comic character. People wanted him for Superman, Batman, now Luthor? I personally don't see him as any of them.
Bryan Cranston, was my choice. I don't think Luthor will place a huge role, maybe as a public speaker condemning Superman and I think Cranston would be perfect for that. He's played as that type of character before, public speaker acting good, but away from the cameras he's a bad guy.
My main two picks Vin Diesel and Bryan Cranston, they would make pretty good Luthors, different types of Luthor anyways. Vin Diesel could pull of the strong and smart Luthor, the one similar to All Star Superman. I really never considered Diesel as a possibility, but when I thought about it, he'd make a pretty cool Lex Luthor. Diesel sells, it would be the smart thing to do.
