It's the same designer but a different studio, and he didn't just reuse the same designs. If you take the characters from Young Justice and compare them to War they look different.

Yeah he changed them (because he had to fit them into the New 52), but some characters do have the same design, like Ocean Master.

I'm crossing my fingers this movie features Aqualad(Gar) and leads into a Teen Titans movie.

@i_dont_like_comics: none of those movies were bad, they had some problems (not including Assault on Arkham, that had no real flaw) but nothing that makes them unlikable. They're still well made movies made for us fans.

Seriously though, I'm really excited about this. I absolutely loved the comics and I'm thrilled to see the animated version.

How is he suppose to take on 6 super-villains at once? besides I think it's clear he wanted to find out what was going on at the time.

'well you see 'batman fans' we wanted to do the funny moment with joker so batman has to wear 2 masks. we're stupid writers like that.'

Kind of confused here... I'm up to date with all of my animated DC stuff, and I'm also an avid anime fan, but I've never seen a DC production that I would descibe as "anime" with the exception of the Shanghai Batman short. All of the recent DC stuff looks more or less the same to be... is there a turning point where DC animated films started appearing anime-like?

That being said, animation isn't culturally restrictive. Japanese animations have begun using a lot of American techniques, so it would make since that Western animators would similarly take notes. That and I suppose all those kids/teenagers who grew up on manga and anime back in the 90s~2000s and learned to draw that style are finally getting jobs as animators for major projects. If the current DC can be considered anime, then I'm not sure what we can go back to, or if there are animators with that particular "style" working prominently anymore.

Mopped the floor? he was barley able to avoid that with his disguise. He wanted to find out why the squad was there, and the possibility of how it could connect to the bomb. Bottom line, even though I'm not a huge Suicide Squad fan, it was a good movie.

Not quite sure what you mean, but the bottom line is it was a good film. I probably won't be watching it that often because I can't stand Harley Quinn, but if I were to judge it solely on quality, I'd give it an 8.5.

I will admit, it sucks that Captain Boomerang was misrepresented, but I didn't feel like there were any major plot holes.

I wholeheartedly disagree, but to each his own. Most of there direct-to-DVD movies have been hit or miss and I personally haven't liked one since The Flashpoint Paradox.

Now, if we were to talk about DC's TV animation side. Then, for me, they are still batting home runs in quality.

That's where I really disagree, because although not all of DC's animated movies are perfect, I wouldn't say any of them are bad.

As for DC's animated series, they're in a worse state then Marvel. Beware the Batman is another Batman show, and a cheep one at that, and I cannot take Teen Titans Go seriously. I wouldn't mind it if we had some decent acceptable DC shows on now, but as it is I absolutely hate that it's on TV. As a hardcore comic book fan, and an animation buff, it saddens me to see the current state of comic book animated series.

@captainmarvel4ever: I legitimately think a lot of the DCAU movies are bad (Justice League: War, Son of Batman, Justice League: The New Frontier, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, etc), and there were a handful which were good (Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, Batman: Under the Red Hood and Wonder Woman pop into mind). I cringe watching some of them and laugh out loud at others, because they try to do too much in too little time and take themselves way to seriously in the process. Leaving a lot of awkward moments in the mix. And let's not even mention some of the action porn that they have… ugh, disheartening. However, I know they not something aimed at me.

And come on, man!! You don't like Teen Titians Go ? For shame ;D lol It's ridiculously charming. Granted, no Teen Titians, but they took the best comedy elements of the original and made a light-hearted show for all ages.

Again, some of those movies may have problems, but I wouldn't call any of them bad (I quite enjoyed Public enemies, and New Frontier is a masterpiece). Unlike the DC live action movies, which are made by suits and give a middle finger to the fans, the animated movies are made by people who love DC, for the fans.

I hate Teen Titans Go. As bad as Marvel's current animated series are right now, they at least have some structure. Titans Go is just awful, cheaply made to bring in the lowest common denominator (no offense). Like I said, I wouldn't mind if DC had some other quality shows out, because then you could still respect them, and kids would have good shows that don't talk down to them, but as it is now DC is in a terrible state (at least in terms of animated series).

can we have a Hawkman Hawkworld movie, New gods movie, a solo flash movie, a green lantern lights out/darkest night movie, a doom patrol, justice league dark, suicide squad movie or legion of superheroes without batman or the league interfering. Warner bros. need to start taking risks and need to give other characters chances.

That's just it, I love Captain Marvel, but I absolutely hated him in War, he almost ruined the movie for me.

Also not to mention they made him into a massive jerk. When he was acting like a jerk in the beginning of the movie I thought he didn't get powers yet.
