This might have a little to do with it. Its easier for guy to relate and look up to a male hero. not that its impossible for guys to relate to women.

Looks like Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Huntress, Powergirl, Batwoman, Catwoman and Supergirl sold more than Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Deadpool.

DC's female characters sell. Other female characters that sells are Hit girl, Buffy and several others.

batgirl, wonder woman, worlds' finest, catwoman and batwoman are consistently selling very well. Supergirl is a mid tiered sales, but still sells pretty well compared to other male characters like captain america, hulk, superboy, green arrow and etc.

I didn't feel like making a new thread, and this is the official female Justice League member thread to me. So I'll probably be posting more pics there in the future if DC keeps up the good work. He's amazing. There is something kinda off about his Black Lightning to me but overall, he's one of the best artist's in the Biz.

And this is why Justice League should add at least 1 more female.

id say Vixen is superior to Beast Boy, Zatanna has already joined and RHATO is getting a new writer

@queenfrost_: Storm isn't part of the current Avengers roster. You also forgot Captain Universe and Smasher.

And in the current Justice League story the back up members are mostly women. Vixen, Black Canary, Zatanna, Goldrush, and Element Woman.

I would love to see the following added to the JLA. Not in every issue but as part of a revolving cast of supprot for the big 7

• Starfire
• Black Canary
• Zatanna
• Mera
• Vixen

All for DC's premiere team having more ladies. I brought up having Barbara Gordon, Vixen, Canary, Hawkgirl, Powergirl, and Zatanna!

The reason why Catwoman is the only character wearing black (DC wanted everyone in white) is because DC didn't want Catwoman included! Her book was being canceled at the time, and it was felt that they shouldn't be 'promoting her' as a result.

I argued and argued for her inclusion, and decided to draw her in for my own benefit, all the way on the end, knowing I could Photoshop her out in the coloring phase. Typically when DC saw Catwoman, they loved her and asked if she could be included. This was about 12 hours before the piece was due.

Catwoman was only penciled at that point, so I knew I could ink her in a black dress and there'd be no time for it to be changed, so.... there you go.

If you're looking for a STORY reason why Selina is in black, not just my behind-the-curtains explanation: Selina gets invited, at the last minute, to this 'Women of DC' photo-shoot, and is told to wear white. Out of spite, she wears the blackest dress she's ever stolen. She DID bring a white cat, though!
