Images Surface from the Upcoming Netflix Series "Jessica Jones"

Yesterday, we learned that Elodie Yung would be playing Elektra in the upcoming season two of Daredevil. However, aside from an image or two of David Tennant in a purple suit, we haven't seen much from the next Marvel television show. Superherohype posted some pictures from the set, which primarily show off Krysten Ritter standing in the street. She's covered in a blood in a few of them as well.

What's the blood from? An epic battle, on par with what we saw Matt Murdock go through in the darkened hallway? It'll probably take place after her run as a super-hero, while she works as a detective.

Here's the synopsis for the show:

Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check.

This keeps falling off my radar ,hope marvel starts bumping up promotion when the release date gets closer. Not really too excited for this but hope it is good, maybe we will get some more small Iron Fist teasers in the show like in daredevil.

Well that was a let down. Its just her looking at stuff.

Looks promising, not a fan of Jessica Jones but I think it fits well into the Netflix MCU universe. Also Krysten Ritter really delivers.

Love the actress, don't care about the character but I'll give it a shoit.

I think this show will be solid. Maybe not as good as DD is, but still will be good.

It's a Netflix show, its ads will spammed across YouTube and such near the release date, they're usually hard to miss.

I'm afraid, really, since "Alias" is a serie hard to traspose in telefilm, and without any other series of Jessica, they have very few materials for create something. If they stay too faithfull to the comics... well, there are things that can't be the same... if they create or change too much, they can destroy the character...

As absolute fan of Jessica Jones, I'm really worried!

But i Trust Netflix, after Daredevil, so I'm waiting... and hoping...

Don't know anything about Jessica Jones but I'm not getting that heroic feel from Krysten Ritter either.

Really hope to see at least a teaser for the series released during comic con.

Do we know what Jessica's powers are in this show? I ask because in the comics she is invulnerable and in the first pic here shes got scratches on her face.

Jessica will die in the show at episode 7.

Who gave the B**** in Apt 23 super powers?

Glad they're keeping the fact that she was a superhero in the past. I was a little worried she might just be a non-powered detective.

I kinda wish they had set this series in the 70's-80's. I think a Pulp Fiction-type vibe would have worked great for it...

This looks...bland and the premise bores me...she is a former super hero who suffers PTSD and stops fighting crime so she becomes a private eye to...fight crime? How does that make sense?

I respectfully disagree that DD is overrated.

@docholiday: In the original story, she DOSEN'T fight crime as a Private Detective. She will accept only simply and small case: runeways boy/girls or housband cheating on wife. Ad she will have nothing to do at all with anything that involve Superheroes/Criminal.

But all start to change when a man knock on his door, asking her to find a stole videotape. This man was Steve Rogers. And case after case, "Alias" is a story about a girl that can't escape what she really is, a person who is fallen and must win against her trauma, for re-discover itself...

@thatlyn_yoaeg_ill_rymmin: Fair enough but that is still a limited premise since no person can guarantee that any guess WONT involve criminals of a super nature or even just violent crime, especially if it takes place in New York in the MCU, the place of Avengers Tower, Spider-man, Daredevil, Punisher, etc.

Second, I still believe they're not going to give her super powers and most likely will make her character 'non-powered' to make her seem more vulnerable but also drastically change the character since Jones has super powers in the comics

Also, slightly unrelated but I am betting they're going to make The Purple Man just some guy in a purple suit who is a mob boss rather than have super powers

I've seen Alias but that's about it when it comes to Jessica Jones. Excited to learn more about the character especially being given the Netflix treatment.

I found the dark and grittiness of what marvel did with daredevil so refreshing in comparison to the movie world stuff which I'm starting to find a little too predictable and formulaic. Still enjoy it but no where near as much as I used to.

I'm excited for the show but I really feel they could of picked some better characters to turn into a TV series.

Man, there's so many good shows to watch. I'll have to keep my limits here.

Shes hot, but dont really care about JJ. Didn't like her in Mighty Avengers.

I like that the description reads like The Rockford Files, but with superhumans.

LETS hope that this show maintains the same Darkness level as Daredevil.

She looks like Gwen Cooper in Torchwood ! at least on the picture.
