So it turns out those guys that are with Korath in the trailer are actually Sakaarans so does that mean the planet that the orb Star Lord is after is on Sakaar itself? Do you think this is just a fun little teaser or does this signal a future Hulk film using the Planet Hulk and World War Hulk storylines?

Guardians Of The Galaxy Toys Include Sakaaran Trooper, Previously Unannounced in the Film | Comicbook.com

Its far too soon for a Planet Hulk movie. They need to show-off the Hulk some more, give him a bunch of good adventures before exiling him for a year. Planet Hulk was built up from everything Hulk went through over the years. It happened for a good reason, so give it a reason to happen. That means that it should be a long while and many stories leading up to it before Mavel finally goes through with it. There are plenty of good Hulk stories besides Planet Hulk so we should be willing to wait and experince plenty of other storylines so that once it finally comes it will have some real impact.

Hulk has already had two movies and neither of them did well, all they really need to do is have Hulk got nuts/get controlled by the bad guys in the next Avengers movie and that would do.

Why the rush?

making two and a half movies then a Planet Hulk movie isn't rushing

It kind of is rushing when there are plenty of interesting stories that came before the Planet Hulk story arc. Why jump straight to the 2000s, to the most current events of comics?

The first movie with Hulk focuses too much on backstory. The second was rushed, with its sloppy visual effects and making the Hulk so very mindless.

The Hulk movie from 2003, 3 years earlier, had smoother visual effects than the one in 2008 and it didn't make the Hulk mindless, allowing him to have more than one emotion. I mean, 2008 just looked like garbage. His skin was paper thin, his anatomy was messed up, and he didn't blend in with the foreground or the backgroung at all. They made Hulk look like a disfigured bodybuilder with his smallest visual details looking as real a videogame cut-scene from the very first X-box.

The few Hulk movies we have are lacking in one way or another. We need more. Again, why focus on one story? There are plenty of stories that eventually led up to planet Hulk. The Avengers have seen Hulk in action but they had to see him in action many times over years before they decicded to take the big step to actually remove im permantely from the planet under the guise of finding a place for him or cure him or something. the Avengers and the superhero commnity have seen Hulk's uncontroallable power but by the Illuminati dumped him on Sakaar, they had decided they were done trying to deal with him like they in the past because of the threat he presented against their power to execute the superhuman registration act.

In Planet Hulk leads to World War Hulk, and in world War Hulk hulk comes for revenge of dead people, including his wife and kids, smashing the order established by the Illuminati and showing that he wasn't the only monster and he wasn't the worst kind either.

And Hulk has been exiled more than once and gone to alien worlds more than once. Why skip straight to Sakaar? There's other stories that show the fact that no matter where Hulk goes, things go bad, seemingly because of him, and it was repeated on Sakaar.

@dum529001: Why does it matter when the story took place in the comics? The GotG team the film is based off of was created in 2007, the arc the next Captain America film is based off of was released in 2005, the story The Avengers movie was based off of was out in 2003/4. What's the point of introducing Sakaar in GotG then waiting 10 years to use it again? People have seen Hulk films with him running around smashing the army and bad guys and they it hasn't worked about so why not try something different? And why not do a Sword & Planet Hulk tale at the same time as Marvel are trying to expand their cosmic universe? It just makes sense, The Avengers or SHIELD or whoever don't need to watch years and years of Hulk induced destruction before they think about getting Hulk of planet, that isn't even realistic.. They are not going to keep making these movies forever, there is only a certain amount of time before these actors/directors ect want to makes these movies before they will move on to something else.

so which story arcs would you prefer to see over or before The Planet Hulk story besides the fact that Planet Hulk Sets up Perfectly to do Civil War and Secret Invasion then coming back to WWH

(which they should film back to back and put them out 3 years in a row before moving on to Phase 4)

Why skip over a bunch of other stories just to get to the Civil War?

Marvel have nothing to lose coz they have fuck loads of money and a Planet Hulk movie wouldn't waste any films in other actors contracts so why not, heck I would go watch it
