So does anyone know the status on the Multiversity comic? Its kind of been up in the air for a while but I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
Grant Morrison's Multiversity
I've been wondering the exact same thing...
Here was a quote from Frank Queitly at the WonderCon 11:
"I've not started on it yet," Quitely said. "I'm halfway through the ten extra "We3" pages, so I'm guessing -- I'm hoping -- by, like, from a month from now, I'll hopefully have some 'Multiversity' script. I really know very, very little about it. I know it's the Charlton characters, the book I'm doing. I don't know how many other books there are or what other groups of characters they've covering but Grant's told me that I'll have script by the time I finish the 'We3' stuff, so that is the next thing I'll be starting on, so it shouldn't be too long. He did also say it's going to take me forever to draw, because he's made it super complicated," Quitely answered to chuckles from the crowd.

First issue was pretty dope.

Lol
It was though.
@immortalone: Yes indeedy.
@dagmar_merrill: Me neither, looking forward to it!
I really didn't care for the first issue. I found it weird (not in a good way) and boring at times. Plus, the whole "meta, comic within a comic" thing didn't win me over.

Sorry, I don't praise Grant Morrison as my god like everyone else *snaps fingers in a sassy fashion*
@the_stegman: BLASPHEMER!
@the_stegman: BLASPHEMER!
I SAY TO THEE, NAY! In Lemire, I trust.

Oh, come now.
Lemire is competent, but he's nowhere near Morrison's league. Green Arrow was lighting in a bottle, and I've heard good things about Animal Man, but Morrison isn't exactly a slouch when it comes to Animal Man either, and everything else Lemire has done has just been good. Not great. Haven't read Sweet Tooth, but I have read Trillium.
Lemire is an up-and-coming young writer I'd put in the same league as Scott Snyder. Morrison is in the same league as guys like Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman.

Age doesn't equal greatness, yeah, Morrison has done a lot for the community, but doesn't mean I have to like his work. I like his JLA stuff, but that's about it, not gonna put him on a pedestal because he's a "great". It's like The Beatles, yeah, I like them, but there are new artists who I like more than them. Everything I've read from Lemire, I like, the same can't be said for Morrison.
@the_stegman: All Star Superman, New X-Men, his Batman run, Doom Patrol, Animal Man, We3, Joe the Barbarian, these all do nothing for you?
@jaken7: I will admit, All Star Superman was very good, besides JLA, it's my favorite run of his...but aside from those two gems, nope, nothing else. And I seriously don't get the hype for his X-Men run...at all.
@jaken7: His fantastic four Mini, marvel boy, and Skrull kill Krew all are pretty good too.
@dagmar_merrill: He did FF?
@jaken7: Its called 1234. Good stuff with fantastic Jae Lee art. Sue ends up calling doom on his bulls#*t with reed and its magnificent.
@dagmar_merrill: Jae Lee!!!!???
@jaken7: Yeah, Jae Lee. Its in the same style sthat his inhuman and sentry work was done.
Reed and doom play chess in the most epic way possible, The thing I'd cured, Mole man and Namor show up and well... Yancy street will never be the same.
