NYCC 2014: Van Jensen & Robert Venditti Talk GREEN LANTERN: GODHEAD

Oh god really hope DC launch New Gods comics series. My only complaint is that how Klarion get comics series meanwhile characters like Orion, Big Barda, Mr.Miracle have not ?

Loving God Head and loving Green Lantern (also Flash). Too many people don't realize how good Venditti is, mainly because he had to follow up Geoff Johns on Green Lantern, and because of the "new" Wally people hate his Flash series, even though he's been doing great with both series.

These guys have been using the New Gods perfectly, and they mixing of them with the Lanterns has been very well done. Honestly I can't wait to get the next issue. If you are not reading this event, then get some cash and run to the nearest store.

Also, on an unrelated note, who else would love a Flash/Green lantern team up book?

@captainmarvel4ever: I would like to see more Hal and Barry. Buccellato showed it could definitely work.

@g_man: love this annual issue. Yup Green Lantern-The Flash probably have chance to be new iconic duo book from DC besides Superman-Batman.

@captainmarvel4ever: A Flash/GL book is long overdue and Venditti doesn't get enough praise, he's really good.

Seriously though loved that Annual, Flash and GL have a bromance that rivals Booster Gold and Blue Beetle :)

I would love an Orion series, I think he would work really well for a New Gods series, because his brash personality balances out the surreal world of the New Gods. I'd love a series similar to the Silver Surfer book of him traveling through space to fight the forces of Darksied and learn more about other life and being a more responsible god.

@captainmarvel4ever: Orion and Mr.Miracle really have great and complex backstory. Big Barda also have great story. Big Barda before she become good is works under Darkseid kind like Gamora have work under Thanos

@boynerdgeek: I don't know if that would work since they are currently in Earth-2, but they are gods so traveling between dimensions shouldn't be difficult. Heck part of the series could be them traveling to different Earths/dimensions and fighting of Darksieds forces, since we have seen him travel between different worlds.

i would love to have a flash and green lantern team up book. too bad hal is stuck in space these days. i would definitely love to follow a brave and bold series between hal and barry. (how about hal and ollie? are they still best friends?)

yeah, i'm excited for the new gods godhead series. i think it's great they used the lantern franchise for springboard.

Nope. It's been retconned out with Hal being close friends with Ollie.

too bad... i guess hal's friendship with dinah has been retconned as well. (and also hal and ollie hanging out with appa ali apsa before he went nuts).
