Zack Snyder vs Bryan Singer vs Joss Whedon

Joss. Zack Snyder is too Zack Snyder for my taste. No, but Joss fulfills my geeky needs more.

Joss Whedon. Even though his movies don't amaze me to the end of the Earth, he still does a great job.

Joss Whendon. Singer is a close second. I really don't like Snyder.

Joss Whedon. the man who gave us Firefly.

No. Snyder is better than Singer. But I'll agree that Joss is better.

I wouldn't take Snyder over Singer. Singer has proven he can make CBMs with substance (X2 and X-Men) while Snyder has yet to make a film that doesn't rely heavily on visuals. I think he can improve this with MOS 2, but we'll have to wait until then.

300 and Watchmen were perfect adaptations of the source material.

@theacidskull: by your reasoning schumacher should not be judged so harshly for his batman movie. yeah. and yes it was beatiful for the visuals but my god it IS a movie, not a painting. sucker punch was horrible. it's worth like 4 bad movies. PLUS the trainwreck that was man of steel. i havent seen a movie in so long a time that just pissed me the F off so much. superman is dead to me for another 19 years. movie-wise at least.

@theacidskull: to me, snyder shall forever be a slightly better current bay. bay at least has some great movies under his belt: the rock, bad boys hell even pain and gain was really good. snyder has the comic book movie about the comic i dont like, the banana hammock people movie on roids and man of sh*t. sorry man.

Snyder easily, in terms of solo superhero movies. Obviously we haven't seen Zach do a team-up yet.

Joss Whendon didn't direct Captain America.......................... he directed Avengers.

Tie between Whedon and Snyder.

Zack Snyder has directed 3 films i've enjoyed, while Joss Whedon has directed 1 (comic/superhero based). So, currently, I had to vote for Zack. If we're going by writers, then yes, Joss Whedon.

When it comes to action scenes...Snyder wins hands DOWN. I was so glad in Man of Steel we actually got to see Superman being a super-powered being and fighting other super-powered beings. Lifting boats and islands does not cut it for me when it comes to superheroes anymore.

Joss overall is the superior directer though.

But seriously. Feige needs to have his directors power up some of the heroes in the MCU. Especially Thor (even if its only in his solo movies). Dude is a GOD and I never feel like he's all-powerful so far in the movies.

You shouldn't sacrifice story for action of course...but that doesn't mean you have to water down your heroes either.

Snyder > Whedon > Singer

If Singer didnt have the Xmen movies under his belt, his record could be better, imo.

Whedon for the pen. Snyder for the visuals. Hot Damn can this man make a super powered fight scene. Hell, comic fight period.

I prefer quality over quantity, so I'm going Whedon.

Singer made X2, which is an awesome film. Snyder has yet to make anything that wasn't crap.

Joss Whedon, followed by Zack Snyder, followed by Singer. I thoroughly enjoyed Avengers, MoS, Watchmen, and the X-Movies, but it comes down to personal tastes, I suppose.

Snyder's MoS was better than Avengers imo

X2 is still one of the best CBMs of all time IMO. I'm surprised that he doesn't get any love.

No love because he made Wolverine inconsistent! Getting shot in the head with a bullet..

Movie Wolverine is a big time jobber Lol. But I still love X2.

Because1 good movie doesn't make up for the countless others that suck. We can chalk the 1 good one up to a fluke/coincidence with his track record.

Joss and Zack have multiple quality showings.

X1 was good too, and Days of Future has lots of potential. I don't think Singer is the best, but he is somewhat underrated.

@wolverine08: X1 was ok at best. Its potential was its best quality. It had a lot of problems.

And Days of Future past having potential doesn't change anything as of right now. Why would I give someone credit (positively or negatively) for something that hasn't come out?

That 1 good movie was better than anything Zach has ever done. That's for sure.
