Your Top 5 Actors Who Could Play Wolverine

Here's my list and I can only list three so far:

Look at this guys, this is Wolverine right here.....Clint Eastwoodin his earlier days (1960ies and 1970ies) particuarly his cowboy western movies always reminded of Wolverine for some weird reason.

Jack Nicolson definately falls in right after Eastwood I mean look at the guy, it's too bad his just too old now like Eastwood and Gibson.

I wanna hear from you guys who else is on the list, maybe I have missed out a few but these three are the only actors who come to mind. Jean Claude Van Damme at one point does also remind me of Wolverine because of the screaming he does in most of his early and peak films (much like Mel Gibson does as well as Martin Riggs).

Nicholson is perfect, but I don't think he'd like to play wolverine. Plus, he was an amazing Joker. For the future I can see Tom Hardy, that guy has definitely the physique du role for Wolverine

Michael Madsen and Gerard Butler come to mind since height doesn't seem to be an issue.

I hear Tom Hardy is listed sometimes but for me personally I don't see that, but you are right however, Nicholson is perfect. And perfect in the sense that he has that bad boy look which is what turns so many women on, I also agree he was amazing as the Joker and I liked him better as the Joker than Heather Ledger.

@tracy: Off topic but Hugh Jackman should play Martin Riggs if they decide to reboot.

If they'd made an 80's movie of Wolverine Mel could have played him but these days he's lost his Logan vibe.

Agreed, watch the Lethal Weapon trilogy (except 4) and Mad Max 2 and 3. You'll see why he could play Wolverine, anyway he was considered to play the role in the first X-Men movie but producers felt that he was too old

Sadly he did state that after the next Wolverine, he will no longer do another Wolverine movie

I heard that he wanted to play Wolverine for as long as he lives. I don't know if thats true or not.

Nah the next Wolverine that Marvel will make will be Jackman's last movie, but obviously producers will try and convince Jackman to stay as Wolverine maybe by increasing his salery since Jackman is an ATM bankable star with the franchise
