Probably airbending, or maybe earth and metal bending
Your own bending style?
@erik: yeah as far as we know, but given real life, wood rots and becomes new earth, so it could be possible, but nobody has been known to do it, except water benders and vines
If we get that loose with bending criteria, then earth benders should be able to bend anything, including fire, water, and air.

hows that? fire, water, and air don't rot and become dirt
like if a water bender pulls all the water from a peach, most of what's left would be the earth
since tree's pull nutrients from the earth to grow, then die, rot and become new earth, it would kinda make sence

Water has traces of earth in it. So does fire and air.
If you pull water out of a peach, what is left is NOT earth. I don't think you understand what you are saying, no offense intended.
A dead tree is not earth. There is a long series of events that occurs before matter from a tree becomes matter of earth.
I'd personally wanna be an Air bender. I feel like it suits my personality best as well.
Jmarshmallow
I got 53% fire bender and 40% earth bender in a test on allthetest.com.
Honestly I think my personality is that of a fire bender but I think earth benders are the best.
I took that test and got 47% Airbender.
I mean, yeah, that's the kind of lifestyle I'd like to live. Calm and peaceful, not a care in the world. Plus, I'm not very confrontational, and my zodiac element is air. So, yes, I choose Airbender!!
I always wanted to see fire bending taken to the next level or Light bending i could see it as the ultimate fire bending they could project concentrated light blasts like a laser or bend light around them and become invisible
Light Bending.
Light Bending=DBZ Ki Manipulation. And then everyone is going to start busting planets for the hell of it.
General Iroh was doing it pretty well without Sozin's Comet, wasn't he?
And where the Hell are ya gonna get an air bending glider? :P
@erik: no offence, but maybe you should have paid more attention to the food chain, it starts with the dirt, growing plants, some animals eat the plants, we eat those animals, or the plants, and when we die we become the earth again, the same is true for just about all food chains on land, including how plants absorb the nutrients dead animals leave behind, and when they die, they leave nutrients other plants can use
this is elementary school stuff, it's sad I had to teach it to you
@justsomerandomkid: Exactly.. Avatar needs SOMETHING impressive. Avatar would actually have great speed feats.

Ugh it doesn't NEED anything. Their fans already wank enough on this site as it is. It has a great plot (at least the first one did, LoK was kinda predictable). It needs nothing more with good plot.
@erik: explain how metal bending works? Toph was able to do it IIRC
Way to dodge the question...
Toph started by sensing the impurities in the metalwork first. Eventually that grew to actual metal bending but what is metal? Earth bending is the manipulation of various compounds, none of which has ever been shown to be things like wood.
What you are doing is grasping at straws with wishful thinking. There has never been any indication that Toph or any other earth bender could bend plants. If you want to entertain something like that, fine but don't act like it makes any kind of sense when you can't even explain it when asked.
@erik: I didn't really understand what you wanted me to explain in the first place.
And I think bending plants would be more of a water bending thing than earth.
