I know a lot of people on comic vine live in various place around the world and I was wondering how many of you have seen where you live or where your from in a comic and if you even recognised any landmarks, felt that your home was shown accurately or was just happy to see it in comic book form.
As for me Sheffield has never appeared in any comics iv ever read I don't think its even come close as far as i know but i would love for it to happen someone however unlikely it.
Sorry if someone's already made a similar topic but i couldn't find one and I was curious so I thought id give it a shot.
My hometown has never appeared in a comic as far as I know but in the conclusion of Jack of Fables, the epic battle took place in Mawn-It-Obah (I think that's how they spelled it) or Manitoba, which is my home province...nothing recognizable though, I still thought it was pretty cool regardless as people not from here who were reading may not have even caught that it was Manitoba since it wasn't spelled that way and it was made out to be some strange land over the border
It would be even better if mine appeared like that so that only i knew or even had to figure it out like yours.
The closest city to mine that has been featured in a comic is Toronto. However in volume 2 of Alpha Flight Department H was pretty much located where my city actually is.
That is really weird i made this topic yesterday and today i read generation hope 9 and Sheffield's in there ! i was really surprised though. but sadly the Sheffielder died would have great if he had become a x-man.
Woohoo! My hometown was in Ultimate X-men: World Tour :-D had a mcdonalds i think but not in the right location :-( lots of rain i think was in the comic which is about right hahaha

i was surprise it wasn't raining when they in mine too. I think x-men comics are probably the most likely to see them in since they go all over the place seems they should have done a little more research on yours though putting the golden arches in the wrong place and all :)
@White Angel Of Death: i know i was the same i was like holy @&%£ that's Sheffield i actually missed where it said Sheffield university I didn't realise until i say kitty holding a ipad(or should i say xpad) that said Sheffield liquid face boy ! on it.
The place I live has been in a few comics, but nothing significant. A few Avengers Initiative issue were set here. The comic store I go to was in the movie Kick-Ass too. That's about the extent of it though.

My city Flint Michigan has never been in comics but we could use the Punisher here from time to time. Terry Crews, Sandra Bernhart, and Micheal Moore is all we have offered the outside world.
