@cloakx14:

Nice list , I like 3stacks (I also like Big boi, outkast is one of my favorite duos in hip-hop) I like Em, Weezy and Jeezy too, and I haven't listened to enough Kanye to say but most of what I have heard I do like. Lol and yeah I don't like them dudes either, Future was alright when he was actually rapping but then he started "singing" all the time lol, and 2chainz was alright (not good but I could deal with him) before Tru Religion came out but he started getting worse after that, and I never been a Gucci or Nelly fan, ill admit they all make some catchy stuff here and there but its just not for me

MC Frontalot, Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer, ICP, Bloodhound Gang, and Digital Underground would be my top 5 (in that order, and don't judge me). Bottom 5 is harder to say, honestly, I am generally not a fan of most hip-hop.

I gotta say I hate Eminem, always have, always will. The only songs he's ever made that I like are "Renegade" with Jay-Z and "Dead Wrong" with Biggie but he had almost nothing to do with the reasons I like them. It's not because he's a bad rapper, he's not. I don't like his personality and how he treats women. I also think he gets most of his accolades because he's Amerikkka's great white hope of hip-hop. He's the Rocky of the rap game.

#16 Posted by Blade_R (2773 posts) - - Show Bio

@scorpio_cassadine: I'm not trying to change your opinion because Em honestly isn't in my top 10 but you do know a lot of artists degrade and talk really badly about women right? But anyway did you check out Spitta's new tape "The Drive In Theatre"? that tape was so smooth dude, I swear Curren$y one of the most consistent artists in the game right now.

#17 Posted by SCORPIO_CASSADINE (772 posts) - - Show Bio

@blade_r: Yeah I downloaded Curren$y a couple days ago and like it a lot. I even posted four songs from it on Millarworld last night, on the "what are you listening to" thread.

A lot of rappers have derogatory lyrics about women, but they don't single out prominent entertainers the way Eminem did Mariah Carey. I don't even like Mariah Carey but I feel he did her wrong. Real men don't publicly attack women, especially unprovoked, and certainly not to the level he took it to. That's a b!t@# move.

@

@scorpio_cassadine:

Lol yeah that was kind of weak, taking it publicly was kind of childish tbut IMO she did slightly provoke it, she had that song "obsessed" and in the video she got a dude that looked just like Em in it following her around and being a creep(implying he was the one obsessed with her) but he straight went in on her though lol I mean he ripped her hahaha but yeah I think there is a lot more to that situation then we all know, I don't condone him putting what they did behind close doors in the public for everybody to know about but I think he had his reasons but I think he did take it a little too far, he should have just called her or something first lol

5- Tyler, the Creator

Least favorite

Its hard for me to think of my least favorite because I can usually appreciate bad "artist" for what they are; ie party music makers, goof balls like Lil' B, or ridiculous personas like Wayne or Wiz (to an extent). Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross are the only rappers that can totally ruin a song for me the second they open there mouths.

Rick Ross makes good music, I don't care what anybody says. It's not even about his rapping, he's obviously no lyricist. But the sound of his voice and his charisma, combined with the cinematic quality of MMG production is fire.

His best verse is on Ye's "Devil In A New Dress", listen to that for an example of his charisma. Listen to "Poor Decisions", "Amsterdam", "Diced Pineapples" or any of the "Maybach Music"s for examples of MMG production.

You don't make as many songs with Jay and other luminaries as he has, when you're garbage.
