I would tell them to go for hawkeye. It isn't bogged down with continualtity.is a fun and action packed read and the art.i hated it on the 1st issue but now I love Aja style.

The second volume of Booster Gold. It gives them a good story, an easygoing and easy to like character, and it gives them a good view on the history of the DC Universe.

The Walking Dead

Hard to say. Most of the comics I really enjoy have legacy as a large aspect which might not resonate very well with someone unfamiliar with the characters.

So I'll go with Superman Red Son because Lex is just the best in that comic.

Identity Crisis

Astro City: Confession. It's a great superhero story with interesting characters, no continuity baggage, and the art is top notch.

O_O
No.

Ignore everyone else, the correct answer is;
Past; Doom Patrol by Grant Morrison
Present: Anything Star Wars
Future: Nothing by Marvel or DC

I would choose the best comic ever. It's called Here and Now and hasn't been written yet. :p

Batman: Hush TPB. When I read that I was like "...Yup, I'm reading comics from now on."

Absolution by Christos Gage (Avatar Press) Not bogged down by other crossovers and continuity. Main character is relatable. Writing is sensational.

I would pick either Hulk or Batman. Both are amazing imo. Both are complex character struggling with who they are.

I forgot about Justice!

I'd like to change my answer.

I agree Hawkeye is a great starter comic.

Depends on who is asking for one.

A lot of my friend really enjoyed the Batman games and movies, so I always give them a Batman TPB. (The Court Of Owls, recently)
