I saw First Class for the first time (no pun intended) on Wednesday and loved it... but I think having Jennifer Lawrence and Rose Byrne in the same movie may have swayed my opinion.

X-Men is the better movie in my opinion. Still like it a lot, and I only watched it for the first time two days ago.

Watched it this past weekend and gotta say forgot how good the movie was at the time. I know I say X2 was the best film of the series but xmen was really good.

I assume we are talking about the movie. In which case, easily First Class. The first X-men was great, and really something special at the time, but FC is my second favorite comic movie of all time. After Dark Knight Rises.

I personally liked First Class better since it was a fresh take on the X-Men franchise and I loved the backstory of both Professor X and Magneto (Magneto was just awesome in that movie!)

I put First Class. I could watch that movie a thousand times and never get sick of it. I love X-Men, the original, but I also feel like it had too many flaws.

First Class. X-Men, sorry I mean Wolverine and the X-Men, is still a great movie, and it was the first "good" comic book movie besides 1989's Batman and Richard Donners Superman. Which are awful compared to now's standards. But it suffered from crappy special effects (like really, really, really bad) and camp humor ("what do they call you? Weals?") First Class was really fresh and ties for my favorite X movie with X2.

First Class was more enjoyable in my opinion. It's like the only X-Men film without a story boiled around Wolverine.

Voted X-Men. Tried to remember back to the day after I saw each movie. I think X-Men was more impressive. Although just like Spiderman, it does not get better with age.

X-Men, X-Men II, X-Men III, The Wolverine, X-Men: Wolverine Origins isn't enough? I wanted to see more of Gambit.

@monsterstomp: As good a job as Hugh Jackman has done I still can't forgive how tall of a wolverine he is. He is far too tall, they could have gotten Colin Farrell, he has the face for it and they could have just bulked him up something huge and it would have been perfect.

Ah, I agree with you, but I don't see Fox stopping milking Wolverine. It's pretty much tantamount to how Marvel Studios milks Iron Man and how Warner Brothers milks Superman and Batman. They'll always milk the popular characters for every single cent.

I could probably deal with the Spider-Man milkage.

@allstarsuperman: Still. I could imagine him looking at the camera and saying "This movie is getting boring" then someone else saying to him "Who are you talking to?" then him going "Obviously everyone sitting on their couch watching TV". Actually that'd be pretty cool.

First Class for the win. X2 vs FC is a different story.
