WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE A SUPER VILLAIN MOVIE?

There are rumors about movie studios, who are considering movies based solely on the villian. Do you think thats a good idea?

I feel the greater the threat, the greater the hero. The greater the hero, the greater the villain. Can a movie based solely on the villain be successfull. If so:

Depends on which super villain but probably not

Only Dr Doom has an origin interesting enough, it would make for a great FF prequel.

I would say doctor doom. To me doom is kind of an anti hero. He kills and what not and wants to rule the world, but he wants to do so to keep it peaceful ironically enough. And he'll do whatever it takes to make it happen. They could focus on his view, and how the people of latveria love him. Also venom I think could have a stand alone film.

Super-villian movie? No, I don't think it would work.

You would need someone who can be morally ambiguous, like Deathstroke, Doctor Doom, etc for it to work. People don't like it when someone just runs around slaughtering people.

I think a Juggernaut movie has the potential to be cool. Or awful.

Doom could if Marvel had the rights because I wouldnt trust fox to do it. Loki can since hes well liked these days

Dr. Doom I've always though could have an amazing film (though since others have already said it, it'll make it look like I'm only saying this since others have)

Magneto could be good, but kind of un-needed after First Class.

Venom could work, but I honestly can't think of any ways how to do one.

MAYBE Deathstroke, though I doubt it.

That's really the only villains I can think of that could carry a film.

Magneto certainly could, but it wouldn't be necessary now that we have First Class and Days of Future Past.

Dr. Doom would be interesting.

Loki could pull it off better than any other villain solely because of his popularity.

Poison Ivy, Venom, Dr Doom and a trilogy on Sinestro's fall into darkness. With the exception of Sinestro, it should be portraying them as anti-heroes.

After seeing Batman AoA I say we need a freaking suicide squad movie now

Technically The Dark Knight was a villain movie. It was Joker's show and Batman (and us) were the observers.

Hell yeah. To me personally, the villains are usually more interesting than the heroes.

What would be amazing would be a Lex Luthor movie that focuses on Luthors life before Superman. It could show where he came from, what matters to him, and how he got to where he is. If it were done well, and I mean WELL, it could be amazing. It would get people incredibly attached to the character and make a Superman vs Luthor movie super intense.

Sadly, I'm just daydreaming here. But oh well. Why stop?......don't answer that.

I think a Joker film would be a movie box office hit.

A Black Adam movie could be just as good or better than a Shazam movie. It could be about him becoming champion of magic and saving his country from their evil dictator , which would establish his terrorist group The Sons Of Adam. Plus Egypt would look great in a comic book movie.

Suicide Squad would be great to see as well.

The Suicide Squad, or simply a Deathstroke film.

I know very little about him...but I actually think "The Villains Journey," Storyline with Jason Graves would make for an interesting storyline. Seeing someone actually become the villain and talk about it, while it happens.

A Joker Origin film, regarding his previous life, the Red Hood incident, etc.

Maybe even a film for Black Manta.

The only way I really see a "Villain" film working is if it's an origin story.

Deathstroke is an obvious one. I like the Larfleeze idea. That could lead to a whole bunch of lantern corps stuff getting into the DCCU, and I'm all for that!

A villain who isn't a villain but someone who leans on the anti-villain or anti-hero AND has an interesting enough origin to support a movie...

A movie of Doctor Doom conquering latveria would be awesome!!!.........Also I think suicide squad can make a cool movie

I want a Sinister Six movie.

I'd love to see the Forever Evil storyline done as an animated feature. I think that storyline would be great as an animated feature. When I was reading it, I couldn't help but read of all Luthor's lines in Clancy Brown's voice.

@joshuadbr: The thing that keeps Smallville interesting to me is Lex and his father, Clark is kind of dry in this series. But I'm only on season 3.

I think it could only work if they are solely origin stories building up to a superhero movie.

MARK STRONG WOULD BE THE PERFECT LEX LUTHOR!

Forever Evil. Maybe an adapted version for Justice League 3. Only have the League at the very start and end of the movie. The rest is the Injustice League forming to fight the Crime Syndicate.

Lex Luthor would be awesome. Perhaps it can show his life's difficulties and his hard work to success that would ultimately cause his hate towards Superman and "aliens" and his belief that only man can succeed and can't depend on an alien like Supes.

Black Adam would be awesome as well, showing his beginnings in the past after getting the powers of the gods for the first time; his downfall from Adam the "Great" to "Black Adam"; the cause of his disappearance for years and years; his rule over Kahndaq with his iron fist; his love for Iris leading him to become allies with the Justice League as an anti-hero-kinda; and, eventually in/slightly before the last act, Iris's death causing him to turn evil again.

Any supervillain team up in Marvel/DC such as Sinister Six, Injustice League, Legion of Doom, or Suicide Squad, etc.

Dr. Doom is pretty much undeniable; that movie would be awesome.
