Would you change anything about the New 52 JL team if you could?

I would change it so it can try to satisfy both Cyborg and Martian Manhunter fans, while sticking semi-loyal to JLA and Teen Titans continuity:

I would've had the Origin arc use the original 7 JL members + Cyborg, where they fight off Darkseid and his Parademons. After the fight, the Justice League is formed, but Cyborg denies membership, and the League tells him that he's free to join at any time he wants. Wanting a normal life, Cyborg goes into a sort of isolation, until he's met by Raven, where she convinces him to join the Teen Titans. Telling him that while serving on the team he can learn that he's not all that different and that he can learn to hone his powers, and be a hero. (I'd have Cyborg be 17 during the Origin arc, giving him a good 2-3 years with the Titans.) Pick up several years later, all grown up, self assured, and in control of his powers, Cyborg officially joins the Justice League. Then we follow with the Graves arc. Martian Manhunter has most previous JLA history intact, but for unknown reasons he attacks the League and disappears, where we find him as an official member of Stormwatch.

As for the writing, I'd end the pointless member vs. member throw downs.

Have them focus more on the individuals.

Increase the five year timespan to around seven and leave it more ambiguous.

Show more signs of both comradery and distrust, mostly on Batman's part.

Definitely make Hal less of a cocky douche. I mean, I like him as a cocky douche but limit it.

Expand the roster.

More cohesion with the rest of the DCnU

Minor costume tweaks: maybe alter Batman's logo to the yellow elipse if the issue takes place in the past, like they do in animated episodes

@StuckOnEuropa: and that picture is horrendous. The faces are off and they look like they're posing for a picture at a nightclub.

I would make the following moves:

I think it was a mistake to only go pretty much with the iconic silver age characters as the league founders. I liked the addition of Cyborg. I think there should have been more of that. By making the above switches/addition, I think you'd achieve a broader spread of when each character was introduced, pulling in fans from different eras. I know some would object to the idea of a female Martian Manhunter more than having him dropped from the team, but I think adding Miss Martian as a league founder would 1) break up the sausage fest a bit more, and 2) bring in the very young fans since she's a pretty recent character, even compared to Cyborg. Plus they could always add J'onn separately.

Of course, if I'm already annoyed they didn't give Cyborg his own solo, I doubt they'd give any of the other three I'd want in there their own books either.

I would of added Manhunter and made Batman a part timer

First thing I would do is get rid of the Shazam guy that's in back of the JL comics. I'd bring back Captain Marvel and the wizard would be known as Shazam once again. His costume would be changed to something more classic. The Captain deserves his own book.

Now lets talk about the actual Justice League lineup.. I'm not a huge fan of the New 52 Supes costume, so I would change his costume to something closer to the classic, Kingdom Come or Wizard Magazine's 'Ultimate Superman'.

Replace Cyborg with J'onn J'onzz and add another female to the team.

That's about all I would do with the JL.

I agree with those that mentioned toning down Hal's cockiness.

Just my opinion.

Kick Cyborg out and bring back Martian Manhunter!....I know they're trying to build Cyborg into to a heavyhitter/powerhouse, but his inclusion on the team just seems forced and awkward imo.........and get rid of the damn collar on Supes costume!....that is all

I absolutely agree with all of this!

It would have been a pretty interesting way to do this reboot, satisfying all JLA and TT fans while doing justice to every character concerned. If they did something like this I'm pretty sure that everyone would have been happy (the guys working at DC, the Martian Manhunter fans feeling let down and even all those die-hard Cyborg fans so proud of his new status). And that would be 10000 times better than having a Justice League with members trusting no one for 5 years or that mess supposed to be the Teen Titans history.

*Praying for at least a Zero Hour-like reboot*

That is just perfect. Why DC didn't do this instead I have no idea.

I'm sure Cyborg was added because they plan to use him in the film rather than M&M; . Problem is that me being more of a marvel fan this doesn't look like the JLA to me without him. I' also prefer Stewart over Jordan but if you want the originals then you should have the real originals .
