I've always thought they have a lot in common like both being warriors, having skills with weapons of every kind they come across, they both are great tacticians, they both hate the god of war, and they've both met Olympians. I figured they'd probably become friends after a good fight

They wouldn't fight at all. Kratos won't even attempt to hurt anyone who isn't in his way

Kratos is unreasonable, selfish and single minded... a similar discussion has been brought up before... Kratos is a villain at worst and a really harsh anti hero at best... I dont recall him ever helping anyone that did not aid in helping himself... i think Black Adam is more hero than Kratos

releasing hope won't magically undo all the destruction he caused or indirectly caused on everyone living and dead.

yes but with the gods gone, who is going to fix olympus in its current state ? hope is scattered, ascended athena is still alive and kratos is probably out there bleeding to death.

I think they would get along but i can see Wonder Woman not being very friendly to Kratos in first place.

@kyrees: yeah but now no one can rule the world, if Kratos dies and Athena can't become a full god again only humans can rule. Plus they have hope on their side now so not even Zeus can stop humanity. Give some credit to Kratos' last act, he helped free the world of the most powerful Olympians that they know of

This. The similarities mentioned in OP are all superficial, personality wise they are nothing alike and WW would hate Kratos.

@swiftbullet: he got along with Athena though, at least until the end of the series. He was pretty devastated when he accidentally stabbed her and its pretty commonly known that he never wanted any of the goddesses to die but some went overboard trying to kill him... Except Hera she just wouldn't shut up and she talked about Pandora, if it weren't for that she would have lived.

They had different opinions of solving some things though, for example in GoW 2, when Athena removed Kratos God powers and Kratos went got mad.

@swiftbullet: I thought that was Zeus' eagle? Even though Kratos yells Athena its kind of obvious it was Zeus because at the end of GoW2 Zeus flys off in the same eagle form

WW in her title wouldn't agree with Kratos, but she'd attempt to win him over with love. They'd have a relationship akin to her and first born's.

WW in crossover titles, mainly the one with her boyfriend, would go to war with dude.

I know right lol The guys like cardboard with two broad swords and Tattoos.

But anyways If they have a common interest, i could see them getting along with each other to get the job done don,t see their relationship going beyond that. You have to remember Kratos is a really one dimensional single minded vengeful character, and if he was in the DCU he would most likely be a villain of Wonder Womans. Like i could see him being like an evil warmongering corrupt general with god like might much like Ares and i could see Diana being sent to stop him. Now that i think about it,That would make a really awesome comic. Anyways if not then id say they'd just be pretty much in different towards each other.

the world was infinitely better when the gods were in order, then kratos opened pandora's box.

@kyrees: it just goes to show never let your son, kill your other son's family then ALLOW him to open Pandora's box. Seriously Zeus could have ended this in the first game but he decided not to. As for the other gods, they shouldn't have defended Zeus and then they would have survived...

They are related but Wonder Woman and Kratos are way too different to get on. Kratos is a villain and Wonder Woman is a hero. I don't see them having an Aquaman & Ocean Master relationship to be honest.

ares practically preyed on kratos and kratos went beyond the point of killing ares.

@kyrees: No he killed Ares because he made him slaughter his family, he killed Zeus because he tried to kill him and he killed the other Olympians because they got in his way. The ones who didn't would have lived, look at Aphrodite she lived because she didn't try to kill him, Athena would have lived if she didn't jump in the way, Hera would have lived if she wasn't constantly talking trash, and Helios would have lived if he would have told Kratos what he wanted to know

He also randomly sleeps with women although one minute he is going on how he hates the world because his wife and daughter were killed.

there is nothing appealing about him

Kratos would be more likely to kill rather than befriend Diana, Pre or Post New 52. Diana does fight in defense of some of the gods and Kratos wants to slaughter them all. Except Aphrodite for obvious reasons but everyone else is chopped liver to Kratos. Their personalities, values and characters would not mesh together well so as badass as a Kratos/Wonder Woman team up would be, it would only happen under the most necessary circumstances.

all of that would have been preventable when kratos didn't need to go over the line. ares was and zeus is debatable but murdering people just because they got to your way is really telling a lot.

@kyrees: murdering people who if they killed you would have your soul tortured for all eternity... Plus he didn't care about the other gods and he gave them a chance to live. That's all you can ask of a ruthless Spartan General with the powers of vengeance and Zeus and the need to survive. He would have gladly lived with his daughter in the after life if it wasn't for his need to save her soul and the world from Atlas and Hades wife

so that justifies everything ? he released the plagues that corrupted these gods, he killed for the glory of ares, he reveled in killing for the glory of spartan. one "good" deed he did doesn't erase all of that. his love for his family pretty much made him the murdering machine you play all the time. did the captain of the ship had a chance ? did every civilian he killed had a chance ?

Captain, yes. Citizens depends. I think those plagues were still the gods faults, if you had 2 choices Move and Live or Stay, resist and Die for the sake of a guy who constantly runs from the guy he wants you to fight. what would you choose?

the captain had no chance because he was in the hydra's mouth and in clinging in tartarus. the average citizen who was just running around gets butchered or used as an offering. the plagues were not even shown to be highly resistable and now you are saying they can be resisted ? how did that occur ?

my choice is to not murder everyone that gets in my way. hera didn't deserved to get her neck broken. hermes didn't deserved to be butchered. hercules didn't even needed to be pummeled down. i can say a lot more but that's just proving my point: kratos killed far too many for his own rage.

@kyrees: Your right murder isn't right but Zeus killing his father, grandmother, and uncles was wrong also. Some people simply deserve to die
