Would people recommend Batgirl: Year One?
I haven't read it, but I think Marcos Martin does the art if I'm not mistaken so it'd be worth checking out for that alone. People seem to be fond of Chuck Dixon as well.
@ariesxmasters: No it's a miniseries that deals with pre52 Babs first year as Bad girl. It continues after Robin: Year One and is a modernised (2004) take on her origin story.
I liked it. I picked it up back when I had a stretch of reading books specifically involving multiple Bat-family members - Morrison's Batman & Robin and Huntress: Cry for Blood are also good reads. It's well written and you really connect with, and get to know the character. I also enjoyed the art quite a bit. If you're thinking about reading it yourself - if you haven't already - I strongly suggest you pick it up.

This. It's lighthearted and thoroughly entertaining. Also, Killer Moth is the absolute best villain ever for a teen age crime fighter.
