Would Goku make a good Green Lantern?

If a ring were to choose Goku to be the Green Lantern of his section of the universe do you think he would be a good green lantern with his will power? Also based on just his will alone how would you rank him along with the other DC Earth lanterns?

I think he'd more likely be a Blue personally. His willpower is obviously undeniable, but it's the feeling of hope he brings to those around him and how his presence bolsters their fighting spirit that makes me think he'd be a Blue.

Considering in nearly every saga you hear multiple times from the likes of Krillin, Tien, Gohan, even Piccolo about how "if only Goku were here", I'd say it ranks pretty high. He's definitely got the will to be a green, but I think we he truly symbolizes is hope.

@deathgorath444: He'd be a decent lantern, ESPECIALLy with his already incredible base stats. He's not as imaginative or technical as Kyle or John respectively, but neither is Hal and he's usually lauded as the greatest GL of all time.

Goku's will is as indomitable as anyone's. In fact, unlike most GL's, we've never really see Goku's will power or belief in himself crack.

With a little training, Goku would make quite the adept Lantern.

Question.. Would Gokus Ki increase anything even if he was a lantern.

@dbvse7: I dunno, I think Tien displayed the most will in the series. Asides from being the strongest human, he also slowed down Cell stage 2 where Super-Piccolo couldn't.

Well, in a way, yes. Lanterns retain their natural abilities. Kilowag for example is usually portrayed as exceptionally strong.

Sodam Yat is ways stronger than the average lantern because he has innate powers equivalent to that of a kryptonian.

Goku's constructs would probably just be blasts or constructs to augment his strength.

@superguy1591: Gohan can be green. He pushed cell and defeated him as a teenager, he conquered his fear.

Even his alternate future self fought and died to the androids 17 and 18.

Gohan would be a horrible choice for a green lantern, he gave up when he was fighting Cell and told Cell to just destroy the earth until Goku convinced him not to give up. Goku would make a much better green lantern as I can't recall a single fight that he's given up in, although he's just as much a candidate to be a blue lantern too.

Goku = Green/Blue Lantern

Vegeta = Red Lantern

Gohan = Red Lantern

Super Buu = Orange Lantern

Kid Buu = Black Lantern

@gustofwind: In all honesty, I think Buu would qualify for a Green ring.

He broke down the barrier seperating the Hyperbolic Time Chamber dimension pretty much because he willed his way out (That and a lot of screaming.) Granted, that was Super Buu but he arguably didn't lose that much intelligence between the shift from Super to Kid.

I dunno, it's only really a single feat and it seemed more like he was throwing a tantrum. Although I suppose he is a lot less cowardly than Freiza and Cell so you could have a point. Fat Buu's probably better suited to being an orange lantern I suppose.

Not really. He isn't particularly creative.

H2H and energy blasts are his style. Not making the imagination come to life. He isn't a quick enough thinker to put a ring to good use.

Goku is off the charts in literally every field a Green Lantern needs to excel in. Will power. Creativity. Fearlessness. Focus. He'd be amazing.
