Would Clint Eastwood have made a better Wolverine?

Every time I watch a Clint Eastwood movie I can't help but think that he would have made a better Wolverine then Hugh Jackman.

Don't get me wrong, I think he did a great job as Wolverine. I just think Clint Eastwood would have done better...

If only he weren't so old... But that's just me. what do you guys think?

Hmmmmm...  Maybe.  He certainly had the right look.  He oozes tough...  I can say for sure but it certainly would have been good to see...

I think he would of. Definitely looks the part.

I think Jackman was great as Wolverine, but Eastwood definitely has the hard edged personality for the role. Maybe they can tap him for a movie version of Old Man Logan.

But for some reason I always thought he would have made a good Johny Blaze when he was younger (like after been Ghost Rider trench coat wearing Blaze)

If he was younger...and shorter. Much as I love Jackman in the role, I'd always preferred the short stocky Wolverine of the comics. It'd be cool to see a live-action portrayal by an individual who could be realistically called Runt or Shorty.

But yeah, Eastwood certainly has the growling face and the old-age gravitas that the role needs.

Eastwood is Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond movie.

After seeing Wolf and The Shining I always thought Jack Nick would have made an awesome Logan

Maybe Clint was in Australia in early 1968 and had a fling with a local gal. That might explain the resemblance.

They could do an Old Man Logan movie with him in it.

@Onemoreposter: Yea he even had the jumberjack shirt and tight blue jeans in shining. But most importantly, Jack had the chops to bring Logan to life.

Maybe if the X-Men movies came out in the 70's.
