probably, he'd make a cooler Shinigami though. >;3
Would Batman make the perfect Jedi?
A jedi has to detach himself from the world and be objective. Batman could never do that, he's too attached to the Bat Family and to Gotham. He's also filled with hate and rage toward the criminal world, which is what drives him to dress up like a bat and beat people senseless every night. He also can't let things go, he's obsessive. He can't let go of the death of his parents, he couldn't let go of the death of Jason Todd, and now he can't overcome the death of his son Damian. He lingers in his own misery and uses the pain to drive him, that is something that a sith would do, not a jedi.
Jedi are also expected to put aside their own moral needs and to kill when it is necessary, something Batman can never do. If it were Obi-Wan in Gotham and not Batman, the Joker wouldn't have survived his first escape from Arkham.
Batman would be a great Jedi. I would consider this:
-He would be a gray Jedi.
-Possibly a battle master with an affinity for
*Sokan
*Soresu
*Vaapad/ Juyo
-QGJ would possibly be his teacher.
- He would dawn black robes.
I see him as being an absolute beast. I see him being like Mace Windu- comes off as very stern but highly disciplined.
Batman this, batman that........
Dude, I HATE Batman, but I still think he would be a great Jedi.
I love Batman and I think he would make a poor Jedi. He only qualifies on paper not practice.
This ^
Still a cool concept I hadn't thought of before...
@tubamilk: I love the detail in the answer dude. You're winner! ;)
@spideyivydaredevilfan26: Thanks! And for those of you who say that he is consumed by fear and emotion and all of that jazz- Bruce Wayne is not. They fuel him. He embraces those emotions to overcome his foes. As a martial artist he would Flourish in form 7- Vaapad specifically. His philosophies would not match traditional Jedi. But none the less he would have been on the council- no doubt.
He'd make a horrible Jedi. He is over whelmed too much about Emotion. Other then that he has the perfect factors to be a amazing Jedi.
Doubt it. He's too obsessive and is a bit of a control freak. People say he can be a grey Jedi but what makes a Jedi grey is not the fact that have emotion, it's that they feel the Jedi council doesn't work quick enough. An example of a Jedi who used anger is Mace Windu. However he had a level of willpower that batman couldn't touch. We've all seen when batman has been pushed and he has massive violent outburst. Plus he'd have to kill and with his psyche I doubt he could take it. His kill code is inspired by the fact that he knows once he crosses the line he couldn't come back. Whereas Jedi have to kill for the greater good even though they view life as a scared thing.
Problems with Batman being a Jedi
- Harbors a lot of pain, anger, fear and latches onto things he cares about (his sidekicks).
- Has a no kill rule, which Jedi don't. They kill when they have to.. Batman fights for 28 hours straight just to avoid doing so.
- Does not play well with others, therefore would end up defying orders from the Jedi council regularly.
- Is far too controlling and manipulative and has a lot qualities far better suited to being a Sith.
So yeah.. Batman would be a weird kind of force user. He's like a none-evil Sith. Has a lot of Sith qualities like individualism, the constant need for control and dominance, Sith-empowering emotions, the inability to work with others. But he is also not evil at all, does not kill, and would use his force powers selflessly rather than purely for self-preservation and power.
So he'd be something like a Light Sith.
