Would Batman be the best herald Galactus can get?

think about it, the morals of Silver Surfer (and more), with peak human abilities everywhere. His power could be potentially greater than Silver Surfer by having the power cosmic amplifying his already peak abilities.

also, being the greatest detective means he could be more capable than others in finding planets for galactus, and that's the greatest plus point for being a herald of galactus

He wouldn't even crack the top 20, in my opinion. Characters like Thanos & Dr. Doom would make far superior Heralds.

Word. Though this is assuming that sinister, cunning guys like Thanos and Doom (who would rather be in a leadership position than take orders) would be obedient. Otherwise they usually scheme plans on defeating him or usurping his power.

Pff You got it all wrong man. What you need to do is ask if Galactus would be the best Robin.

These are some of the dumbest points I have ever heard.

#1 Batman would want to find lifeless planets which Galactus would not tolerate

2. Human Torch was given the power cosmic after he already had his powers which made him far more powerful than he normally was. The power cosmic also changes its host entirely so it's hard to say what it would even do to Batman

3. If I had the power cosmic in space even I could be a decent herald in the Marvel Universe

Being a herald isn't that difficult. He literally gives you everything you need to do your job, which is really just the ability to traverse the cosmos.

All you really have to do is go some place, tell Galactus where you are, and you're done. It's so easy, even Matter-Eater Lad couldn't screw it up.

And if you're talking about who would be the greatest herald, he's already had Superman as a herald. And then there are people like Wonder Woman, Shazam, Aquaman, the Lanterns, etc. That's only talking about DC though. Marvel has plenty of people that could be better than Bats as well.

Batman is far too moral, much like Norrin. As necessary as Galactus is to the universe what he does is terrible. An ideal herald for him would be a less psychotic version of Stardust: the guy was a total monster, but he was dedicated. An herald should have that level of dedication but without the unnecessary extermination of those who escape.

EDIT Also someone with preexisting tracking powers or some sort of extended awereness would be useful.

norin is the best good herald and he has far better morals than batman has. batman's detective skills are pretty much useless to the power cosmic
