Would Alternate Universe Star Wars Comics be a bad thing?

Would people want to read stories that show in true detail other universes: what if worlds where the Sith found Anakin first, where Anakin might not have done some of what he did during Revenge of the Sith (Attacking Padme, getting cut up and set on fire , ect), or such.

Isn't this the whole point of Star Wars infinities?

There are only 3 Star Wars Infinities comics, all just going off from the 3 original movies. Star Wars Infinities: ANH, ESB and ROTJ all by Darkhorse comics.
