Some are needed, others criminal. What do you think is the worst.
For me it is the Beyonder's, awful...bloody awful.

@lightsout: Eh, I like it. To each their own.
The only true retcons I can think of atm are COIE, Flashpoint and....I guess Beyonder, although I'm thinking on a larger scale.

It appears Beyonder retconned himself.
@the_imperator: He did not write his own stories...only Superman and Batman can do this...so it seems LOL
Flashpoint (New 52), and maybe COIE.
I may be a youngin', but didn't COIE clean up a lot of the mess that was pre-1985 DC comics? (& the beginning of the same continuity that is viewed as superior to New 52)
@lightsout: Yeah, but the way they did it was sloppy, like Flashpoint.

lol.... could you give me some examples?
See my thread entitled "The perfect example of everything wrong with the New 52" for why the recent Darkseid retcon claims is the worst ever.
@lightsout: new 52 and teen titans go reason: no underwears. Second, robin looks more like damian , tim drake hybrid and raven skin is grey
@batmanx2005: Forgive me but I'm not sure what you're talking about, :) (Was it my last post? I was asking why COIE was "sloppy")

One of the major problems with COIE was it was meant to throw all their characters into one reality. Then they had all these World War II characters they apparently didn't know what to do with, so they ended up getting involved with modern characters with shoddy explanations of why they were there.
@lightsout: Other problems with it is that it completely reset/condensed the history of the Fawcett (Shazam, Captain Marvel) and Charlton (Blue Beetle, Captain Atom) characters, which DC just acquired, and introduced, through COIE. Plus long time readers back then were saddened seeing some of their favorite characters die from same all powerful white void swallowing up everything.
Shadowcat being rescued from certain death, in the most inane and ridiculous way possible, one year later. or was it two?
