Worst Beat Down you've seen in Comics?

Whats the worst beat down you've seen? The worst time you've seen a character get stomped you hard it you felt sad for said character?

Mine was when Hulk fought Zeus and got beaten down. When I first saw it I thought "Oh the Hulk will just get angry and beat him down" but no I was wrong. I felt bad for the hulk when he got punched so hard he threw up Niagara falls and collapsed his lungs. Then got chained to a rock weakened and eaten by birds. I have never seen the hulk get beaten that badly before so when I saw it I was shocked :p.

Lol, poor guy.

Emotional beatdown. Take a guys powers, his mantle, his hammer and even his birthname.

Then you beat him in a fight.... that's cruel.

I recommend it to pretty much everyone. It's had it's ups and downs in quality, but it's still one of the most consistently great comic series' out there - and one of my personal favorites. It's really best if you start from the beginning in TPBs. You'll have quite a bit to catch up on, but it's totally worth it.

• Superboy-Prime beating Kal-L to death in Infinite Crisis

Yup. He's also written several spin-off series'. I haven't read them myself, but I've heard they're good, too.

I felt really bad for him when that happened.

The Green Goblin vs Swordsman scene in Ellis and Deodato's Thunderbolts. Heck, Ellis' take on Norman Osborn generally is my favorite characterization of the character. Really brings out the crazy out of the character.
