Now that Spiderman is at MCU, do you think Warner Bros and DC will pull the plug on BVS? With the recent announcement, I dont even think BVS would reach 300 million in the box office since all moviegoers would prefer Civil War thanks to Spiderman.
Will DC cancel Batman V Superman?

You could have Marvel characters from Sony , Fox and Marvel studios vs Thanos w/ infinity gauntlet in a movie and i had to decide which movie to watch first. I would still watch BvS ( and then probably go watch the marvel movie 20 times).
@impervious: really ironic when he has a composite superman avatar
No. Don't be an idiot.
@kyrees: amen to that
First of all Spiderman won't even be in Civil War from what I heard. They planned originaly for the possibility, but announced later that he would not be in Civil war, likely because the negotiations with Sony took to long. Second they already spent so much money on Batman vs Superman that they won't stop it in the middle of production. Assumming BvS doesn't sell and Justice League doesn't sell, than they might start cancelling movies, but Batman vs Superman is already gonna sell on the heroes names alone.
No. This is a bit of a knee-jerk reaction tbh. DC is still going to have a fanbase that will see their movies, and they're trying to market themselves as an alternative to Marvel anyway.
@edgejohn: that would pretty much triple the money all marvel movies combined made at the box office.
Even if we assume virtually everyone would prefer Civil War over Batman v Superman, which does not sound like a very fair assumption, it still does not mean the latter movie won't make any money. The rational would hold true if there was anything suggesting a movie patron cannot watch more than one movie which obviously isn’t true. In fact I would assume a solid majority of superhero movie fans would watch both.
Regardless of which of the two movies would do better, I personally think Civil War would, does not imply the other would necessarily suffer as heavy loss as you might be expecting, friend.
That's my 2 cents in the matter ^_^
@claymore1998: up top, sistah.
*internet sis fist*
@impervious: Sistah? Perhaps honey would be a better adjective no? heheh ^_^
This is a pile of heavy lie. Look at that fakebear! He cant be Dcomics or The Canucks (Even though they should have done this act when they traded Luongo).
Pilasy:La Voix d'un homme
@claymore1998: up top ... Honeybunch. (can't believe I just said that)
@impervious: hehe that's much better. You can call me a sister after marrying me O_o, that's wrong on so many different levels ^_^
I honestly don't care about the civil war movie. So, no DC shouldn't cancel BvS, I'm looking forward to it as are tons of other people.
I'd still say BvS is going to make more money anyway..
Why would DC/WB care to change anything about their own plans just because Marvel can now add Spiderman to the Avengers?
Why would Spiderman affect DC/WB to the extent that they will cancel BvS?
Stop inferring how the movie will turn out, trailer wasn't even out for heaven's sake.
Marvel can keep his friendly neighborhood, it won't interfere. It would be absurd to cancel a movie like that. Plus, Batman & Superman are stronger brands than any Avengers.
"Guys, they have Spider-Man..."
"Just... Cancel the project, right now. Now now, everyone can just go home and get drunk."
Nope... You don't know how competition works, do you? You cannot eat a burger from McDonalds your whole life. LOL!
Batman and Superman are the biggest names in comics and are considered to be cultural icons. No matter how bad the movie is going to be, it will still make a sh*tload of money
No, that would be insane, they would had millions for nothing?
Sure Batman v Superman its not going to be a huge as people want this to be, but neither its going to be Spiderman in MCU.
Also Spiderman movies dont make as much money as they use to make and even when IronMan movies have made billions, this was thanks to the 3D tickets, Batman didnt need 3D tickets to do this.
I can't stress just how much I'd rather see a Superman/Batman movie than a Civil War movie, and I'm sure I can't be the only one
LOL,it's already finished filming,it's in post production phase, they are better off releasing it regardless of it's performance. Though Spidey is definitely gonna hurt them,but at the same time since all rights technically still belong to Sony it could end up hurting Marvel studios as well big time.
They have 2 of the big 3 in the movie, why would They? If They did i would rage so hard.
All 3 of the big 3 are in BvS, and 4, 5 and 6 are too. That is, Unless you're looking forward to Green Lantern....
@havenless: I talked about the 3 biggest heroes of all time:Batman, Spider-Man and Superman.
