Will Age of Ultron pass the Billion dollar mark?

I have been monitoring the amount of money the movie is making and I noticed in the past 2 days the speed the money is coming in has DRAMATICALLY decreased. I would have expected people to see it everyday of the week and keep the money rolling in at a steady pace. On Saturday or Sunday the movie crossed the 600 million dollar mark and It is still there.

Please in the comments tell me if I am crazy or correct.

Definitely, but I'm very surprised about how bad it did on the opening weekend compared to Avengers 1. I'm not sure if they're gonna surpass it.

Sporting Events: Pacman vs Mayweather, NBA, NFL Draft Weekend. We will see if people we gain up this week to see it or go see Mad Max. If it stays at number 1 that would be a very good sign. If Mad Max clobbers it, I'm not gonna say that it would be in trouble, but it wouldn't be good.

Anywho, it beat the Studios estimate, so not like Disney was shocked.

It will pass a billion but it will not make as much money as part one.

It is no where as good as the first one.

Obviously AAU will make less money in the domestic Box Office than Avengers 1, at this point only China market can make AAU surpass A1 worldwide box office...

@asgaard: I'm not so sure that it won't make as much domestically, maybe you're right. But, I don't think that is a giving. China would be what puts it over the top. I wonder if they did a special Chinese cut of this film like they did for Iron Man 3.

Even if the Sports events hurt AAU opening weekend in the domestic Box Office, AAU first Monday only made $13 million vs A1 $18...

@asgaard: 5 Million dollar difference, ehh...IDK. I still don't think we can say it's a sure thing. Very impressed with the China numbers for Furious 7 & Transformers 4. I don't think Avengers 2 can reach that, but boy if it did that would be amazing.

@asgaard: Oh and when it comes to overall money. Avengers 2 is outpacing Avengers.

4th UPDATE, 1:05 PM PST: Disney had an explosive weekend worldwide. Disney/Marvel’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron ended up the weekend internationally with a cume of $439.8M on a weekend pull of $168.8M and it hasn’t yet hit China. To date, its worldwide cume is now $631.1M, upped by the better than expected domestic take of $191.3M

The current international Box Office will compensate the domestic Box Office probable losses, AAU already lost $22 million to Avengers 1 in the domestic box office (10%), and like i said in my initial post only with a great performance in China AAU can surpass A1 worldwide box office, and for ex. make 1.7B...

I believe Age of Ultron will pass the $1 billion mark.

I posted a reply earlier today with a link to a Forbes article and another website article with quotes from Marvel Studios executives that not only did their movie take a hit because of these events, but that all movies took a hit.

It will most likely pass the $1 billion mark, It probably won't hit the $1,518,600,000 that the first one hit but I feel it will surpass Iron Man 3's $1,215,400,000,

With all the hype it's had and the fact that the first one is still in every bodies head it most likely will surpass the first one. sequels usually do.
