Why would blowing up a planet keep Galactus from feeding.

I would think blowing up a planet would not keep Galactus from feeding since he does not feed off the people but the energy of the planet itself. You cannot destroy mater only change it. This would do nothing and the end result would have been nothing short of cutting up his food before he ate.. That would be all. Thank you he would say but I have my own fork.

Galactus does not need life on the planet to eat the energy from it.

Its something in the planet.

That is why he was leading him to planets with no life on it.

When did that change.

Galactus feeds on a planet's biospheric energy. Destroying the planet must disperse the energy so that it might take too much effort for him to collect or transform or reduce the energy so that he cannot use it .

He's not gonna go around picking up all the tiny pieces of energy to eat.

It had no life at all. This fact was mentioned numerous times, it was actually a plot point.
