It was such a good show, and it ended right on a cliff hanger, which meant that they clearly intended to go farther. Why doesn't cartoon network every hold on to it's gems?
Why was young justice cancelled?

I can definitely see that. My sister loves the show
I can see why any girl could like it honestly. It has:
-Standard involvement of female heroes, not just a token chick here or there
-Strong characters who you actually give a damn about
-Relationship drama (that doesn't completely take over the plot)
-attractive males (lets be honest)
-good action and some one screen deaths
-good plot twists, and a story in which the good guys don't always win and live happily ever after
I honestly think it's a sign of quality if girls can get into your super hero show. Barring the girls who actually like comic books and stuff, most girls would jut right it off as pointless, childish violence intended for boys. It's kind of like writing a children's show that adults can get into as well.
the least they could have done is made it a netflix series like "Orange is the New Black" or something
moves like that is why I don't watch CN as much as I used to
Young Justice get's cancelled but shows like clarence and uncle grandpa stay on the air.Good job Cartoon Network you sure know how to pick em

It actually got replaced by Teen Titans: Go and had more to do with DC than cartoon network if I understand it correctly. DC only allows a couple of cartoons of its characters out at one time and it comes down to toy and comics sales which YJ just didn't produce. YJ was awesome though and should get picked up by Netflix.

@strawhatluffy: Ya know DC. Merchandise wasen't moving so it got cancelled. Samething with GL:TAS. DC is gonna have to find some way to start moving merch.
I would of loved to buy the Young Justice Merchandise but I never liked Characters looking like they are from a TV show, If they released Young Justice figures where they looked like they would in comics I would have bought every single one.
If the toys were better quality then what you find in a happy meal I would have actually bought some.
From my understanding: The toy sales weren't high enough.
Yes, it's stupid.
Meh
People are still talking about this. The horse is already dead

It has been. They are streaming at least the first season that I know of.

So is Jesus, what is your point?
@citizensentry: Cause things end before they should all the time, fact of life. It's just a tv show. Sure they every right to whine and prattle, I have every right to point it out. like you have every right to show how cool you are by typing in italics.

I'm not trying to be cool, I just like the font.
The show was made to promote toys, but the toys didn't sell despite the show being very well received by critics and audiences. It was actually more popular than the toys.
But yeah it was about toy sales and there weren't any. But how that show gets cancelled and some if the other sh*t (cartoon or not) that's on TV stays around I'll never know.
From what I understand:
1. The animation for the show was more expensive than for shows like Teen Titans Go and Johnny Test, which is why it's more cost effective to end Young Justice and pump out a bunch of comedies.
2. Poor toy sales.
3. More girls watched the show than guys, so I imagine the network wasn't getting the audience they thought they were going to get and weren't sure how the market it.
The worst part is I've heard that there is going to be a live-action DRAMA of Young Justice (on CW I think). There's nothing particularly wrong with live-action shows, it's just that some people like cartoons more and cartoons are really in a low period right now.
@aros001: Actually TNT is making a live action Teen Titans show called Titans
what happen to the show is what should happen to everything with the words young, teen, and kids, in the title. It was cleanse by the holy fire ....amen.
young justice’ and ‘green lantern’ canceled by, Dc nation mainstays 'green lantern' and 'young justice' do not appear in cartoon network's 2013 programming preview, strongly indicating that both have been canceled.. When dc canceled young justice , it destroyed a universe, Dc rejuvenated their entire comics universe in 2011 when they released their bold new 52 experiment. although less heralded, they did the same thing for their. Beware the batman cancelled? young justice returning, With the recent sudden drop of beware the batman from cartoon network's lineup, does that mean the show is heading towards cancellation? i certainly hope.

The merchandise wasn't selling...
Plus too many girls watched the show apparently and that was not thier attention...
Plus the animation looked like it was expensive and the voice actors sure as heck were not cheap...

Young Justice was cancelled but they bought it back in 2012 IIRC. called Young Justice: Invasion, it only ran for 1 season but it was good to watch it again.
@godzilla44: But I want to watch cartoons.
@parachomp: tell WB that not me
