Why no one ever heard of Alan scott

Usually nowadays people most likely think of Hal Jordan when they think of green latern. But why no one remembers Alan Scott green latern.

I mean some people do but mostly not all of them remembers Alan Scott.

Cause Hal is the main man since the character was retooled to be a space cop. And has been pushed more since that day. Scott is a minor character sadly

I do. But his problem is being a member of Justice Society of America. But he also doesnt appear much and he had some minor appearances. In terms of Green Lanterns, people intressed on Hal or Jonh and sometimes Guy.

He got a push when he was retconned into being gay, ironically, but that time of exposure is long since past.

And not even Hal is all that popular. I'm sure you've seen old comments crying about how DC "whitewashed" Green Lantern for the movie. Most people only know John Stewart, as that was the Green Lantern featured in the '90s and early/mid 2000s DCAU.

Y'know when your really think about it Green Lantern isn't all that popular of a brand.

Really isn't. And most people that are tangentially aware of GL think it's all really dumb. :/

hal is the man that's why

I love Hal but I respect and know every GL in some way...exept for Simon Baz because I just don't count him as one of the main GLs. I rank them like this:

1. Hal Jordan

2. Kyle Rayner

3. Alan Scott

4. John Stewart

5. Guy Gardener

who?

In terms of preference, my list ranks almost the same, but

1. Hal Jordan

2. Guy Gardner

3. Kyle Rayner

4. Alan Scott

5. Simon Baz

I grew attached to Guy, he's a great character.

Alan Scott has always been my favorite human Lantern. I'm not a fan of his direction in the New 52 thus far as an avatar of the Green though.
